After winning the contest hosted on another forum a few weeks ago I received a door kit of Damplifier Pro, as well as a Fury knife and wooden roller (Thanks)! I also ordered a spray gun and 2 gallons of Spectrum because I wanted to put at least 2 coats of deadener on all 4 doors. The kit includes 8 sheets that total 13sqft, I need at least 6 ft of mat to cover each door. I used the mat on the large flat outer skin, and spectrum as an additional layer and the coating for the inside panel. I will most likely be ordering a few more gallons of spectrum for the floorboard- I am really pleased with the outcome. Before starting use the button on the dash to disable the dome/doo…

I just got done installing my second skin door pack that I won through the second skin promotion. When opening the box I saw some goodies also, Ant was nice enough to give all the winners a Fury knife and the hard wood roller. I decided that I would install my 5.25 pioneer premier components up in the front doors using the second skin. I first started by cleaning off dirt and dust off of the door for the best contact. I cut out small pieces of deadener with the included fury knife. The fury knife cuts through the second skin with ease and works great. Then I started to apply the small pieces of deadener around the speaker cut out. Then I cut some larger pieces of sec…

After about a year of going back and forth, we are finally ready to produce our first batch of damplifier Lite. Here are the specs: Damplifier Lite: 3 mil foil .35 lbs psf 500 degree thermal limit The product is already available for preorder on our site: http://www.secondskinaudio.com/products/vi...lifier-lite.php We still have to add the pics but those should be in soon! Our intention is to bring a light weight product to the market and give our customers a more affordable option that still beats out the competitors in its class. Thanks for your attention ANT

Here are the doors in my 2004 Ford Crown Victoria, Driver side, dont have a current pic of the passenger side but its basicly the same. Im just curious how much i should order to cover the inner and outer skin of the doors with (2) layers? Doesnt have to be a exact number just rough estimate thats all. This will be my first time using a sound deadning product. I plan on using roofing flash to cover the big holes. My drivers (ID oem 6.5s) will be in fiberglassed pods in the bottom of the door panels. Thanks.

What is you put damplifer pro behind every wall in you house and made it leak proof? Sounds expensive but if you were able to pull it off wouldn't it make your house dead silent and possibly more fire resistant?

I was curious to see what the results would be if i were to put luxury liner under the carpet from the uppermost front footwell area up to the rear of the car. I am sure i would see a noticeable drop in road noise but but would it increase the "plushness" of the carpet? That is part of what i am looking for as the G35 floor doesn't have the plush and luxurious feel i would like. On that topic, since i am running 245/35/20 and 275/20/20's the road noise is unbearable. Would it make sense to remove the wheel arch linings up front where i notice the most noise and coat them in spectrum sludge or should i pursue a different route in trying to eliminate it, possibly just addi…

What are the differences between SS Overkill and Raamaudio Ensolite? The ensolite seems to be a little bit cheaper but after having the chance to compare Damplifier with eDead im a little afraid to use a product made by anyone other than Second Skin... Will overkill produce better results? Thanks in advance...

i am planning on doing a build soon. its going to be doing mid 150's on the tl. im thinking about going with the sludge, but have never worked with it.... i usually use fatmat or dynamat and i didn't know if anyone has used the stuff and can give me some feedback on the product. i plan on using it on the doors and floor of the truck. i understand that it will have to be quite thick, thats fine, my main concern is it staying bonded with all the pressure and flex. thanks in advance

What's the difference between spectrum and spectrum sludge? I plan to use it under my back seat and in my trunk. I already have some raamat and ensolite in my trunk. I did not do a good enough job on the trunk. Can I lay some spectrum on top of the ensolite or will this not make as much of a difference compared to bare metal. I plan to lay around 3-4mm. and ensolite on top.

I have an 07 Yaris Hatchback and I am most likely going to put a 10" sub in the back. I am thinking 10w7, but maybe a w6 or something slightly less expensive. How should I deaden my hatch, if at all? Could someone shade the pic where I should put deadning material? I know ideally I would do it all over, but I'm trying to limit how much of my car gets torn apart The front doors will already be deadened.

A while back, Casey and Buzz form floridaspl.com did a nice video of Damplifier Pro and Lxury Liner Pro. It was pretty impressive so I sanctioned them to do all the videos for the Second Skin website. We have about 20 more to do, but here are the first 2. Thoughts? In case you are wondering where you recognize Buzz from, he used to be the host on the Speed channels show Truck U ANT

Thanks to ANT over at Second Skin Audio, I have had the opportunity to try out a trunk pack of Damplifier Pro, here is what I have to say about it: Upon receiving the box, the first thing you notice is how heavy it is, and you know this stuff is no joke. Open the box to find twelve 12

I'm trying to figure out approximately how much i'll need just to do a fairly thorough job in the trunk of G35 coupe without going crazy. this is for a temporary smaller install and i will probably add a bit more in the future when i apply damplifier to the rest of the car. do you think 20 sq ft is enough for starters in a small trunk?

hey there, I'm attempting to dial out a bit of resonance (there isn't so much on this car), as well as keep as much of the sound inside the car as possible. Would my original plan of damp pro and overkill pro all over the hatch area be good? would adding a product like luxury liner pro (I also figure if i'm doing this i might as well reduce alot of the road noise throughout the car) reduce the volume inside because it will absorb the sound?? I'm starting in the trunk / hatch area, and i think doing the doors and front wheelwells/footwells at the same time. if results are good, i'll continue and do the rest of the car, with Damp prop/overkill pro everywhere, + luxury lin…
