Would just one layer of damplifier on my trunk lid be enough to stop the annoying rattle that you hear outside of the car? I can't imagine that it would help much for inside the car, im just tryin to stop the outside rattle of my trunk.

I got Damplifier Lite for my car as I did not want to spend too much money on sound proofin. I spent too much already for speakers and boxes and cables etc. and it was eather damplifier Lite for me or no product at all. So I ordered from SS and got it pretty fast. So I used it for the first time, it was perfect, not trouble taking the paper off or any problem whatsoever. I did 1 layer on each of the 3 sides of the door, I will follow with Overkill on the door panel once I put the speakers in. I did a quick video to compare the damplified door to just prepped door. Both my doors had some small tiles on the door from factory but they did not do much. The difference is amazi…

so i just did the Damplifier Pro on the rear doors. i also used the ensolite foam. WOW what a difference. i used two layers of Raamat on the front doors and all i can say is that there is no comparison. Raamat may be a better deal, but as far as i am concerned i wasted the money spent on Raamat.... cuz now i am going to go back and redo the doors with the Damplifier Pro. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!!

You have all waited long enough! Now, Damplifier Pro comes with a annodized black foil, rather than a silver foil. We also increased the thickness of the foil from 6 mils to 6.5 mils for added strength, and better vibration damping! We will be updating the pics on the website in the next couple of days, but I can tell you right now, this stuff looks amazing, and performs even better! Check out the product on our site: http://www.secondskinaudio.com/vibration-mat/damplifier-pro.php Or get in on the conversation on our forum: http://www.secondskinaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6046 ANT

  13. Started by Frostedflakejake,

So when I watch all the instruction videos on Second Skin's website, and when i look at all the pics of builds, i observe that the silver foil is what you see after the installation. I'm confused because the Damplifier Pro has the black adhesive on the bottom, the foil, and then a thin black top that is glued/attached somehow to the foil. If i take off the wax cover and then install it, I'll be seeing the black cover on the outside and not the foil like all the videos and user installation shows. I'm assuming I should just take off the wax cover, roll it on, and not worry about that small black layer? That seems rather obvious to me, but the videos on Second Skin's websit…

I have been looking for a way to increase some of the midbass from my door speakers(infinity kappa 5X7's) and have desided to seal/deaden my doors. I realize that the correct way to do this would be to rivet some aluminium sheets to cover the numerous holes in my doors and then cover them in damplifier, but since I possess neither the materials, time, or skills to accomplish this, could I simply use the damplifier over the holes? would that successfully seal the doors and increase some of the midbass (even if only a little)? If you cant tell im very new at this and can't find much info on it so ANY advise/critisism would be appreciated. Thanks Alex

I am getting ready to built my next system and want to know what people think about deadening a sealed trunk? This is in a 99 Honda Acoord(Think pop can)and I will be forward firing my Fi BTL 15" and sealing the trunk off. I will be doing Second Skin Damplifer floor, doors(inner and outer), pillars, back deck and ceiling. I will probly also be doing Luxury liner Pro(luxury liner min.). I am getting ready to built the box inside the trunk. I had planed on a single layer of Damplifer inside the trunk for good measure before building the box as I won't be able to take it back out. I already have the Damplifer and will probly do a single layer just to know my trunk isn't ratt…

  18. Sometimes people go the cheap route and pay the price in hard labor and wasted money!!! Here is a little story straight from the mouth of one of our newest and soon to be life long customers!!! "I present you a bouquet of bulls**t sound deadener. It smells like someone is getting a new roof inside this cab haha. Now to get the sticky gooey s**t off too. Fun fun fun" #macsgarage559 It is horrible to see people having to scrape, freeze, and torch a big mistake out of their build. Ask around, do some research and choose a product that is going to work the correct way and perform the job it is engineered to do...demand a high-quality American made butyl product for …

  19. The awesome guys at Colorado Car Audio just finished a sweet Dodge Ram 3500 Pro Master Van build with full sound and heat insulation along with a stereo upgrade and the work is very nice!!! They applied Spectrum and Damplifier Pro CLD to all of the metal to kill vibration noise and help with heat transfer through the metal. They used Luxury Liner Pro MLV+CCF next to block out unwanted airborne noise and thermally insulate the walls. And they used Mega Zorbe Hydrophobic Melamine Foam to absorb sound and thermally insulate the roof of this huge van!!! When the proper layers are applied to the correct locations, a huge difference in noise level reduction can be ach…
