So what is the biggest difference between dynamat and damplifier pro? Which should I get and how much for just the trunk of a tahoe/suburban?

Over the years we have a had a lot of street rod and race car customer come to us looking for a product that could withstand the high temperatures on the engine side of the firewall. Some cars reach levels of 1000 degrees f. and for this application, we had no product to offer them. Now we are about 8 weeks out from releasing our newest thermal insulation mat. This new material is a multi layer composite that can withstand temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees when as little as 2 inches of air space is provided between the heat source and the product. At ¼ inch thick and weighing in at .25 lbs per sq foot this is going to be our best thermal insulation material yet. The …

No where listed was an expiration date. Two months later I needed sound deadener. hey there, I'm attempting to dial out a bit of resonance (there isn't so much on this car), as well as keep as much of the sound inside the car as possible. Would my original plan of damp pro and overkill pro all over the hatch area be good? would adding a product like luxury liner pro (I also figure if i'm doing this i might as well reduce alot of the road noise throughout the car) reduce the volume inside because it will absorb the sound?? I'm starting in the trunk / hatch area, and i think doing the doors and front wheelwells/footwells at the same time. if results are good, i'll continue and do the rest of the car, with Damp prop/overkill pro everywhere, + luxury lin…

Well, I picked up some deadener from Ant at SecondSkin last weekend so it was time to start the install. I'm doing the floor first since the front doors and trunk are already done. I may pull off the eDead already on those areas because it's been basically a huge nightmare. Hey guys, I ordered some Damplifier Pro from SS. Will be doing my 2004 Civic's trunk. Delivery of the stuff is scheduled for this upcoming Monday 4/12. Hopefully Ill find some time this week to bang it out quick. Ill post up some before and after pictures along with a small review.

I recently orderd some damp pro for my roof. i have a few extra bucks to play with, i was reading and watching some vids of both lux liner pro and over kill pro. I am a little confused on what they actully do diffrent? and what should i order? i currently have second skin in my doors and my back hatch. i am going to doubble stack my roof with the damp pro. should i use the lux liner pro for my doors or the over kill pro? i am also open to any other suggestion also. thanks!!

So when I watch all the instruction videos on Second Skin's website, and when i look at all the pics of builds, i observe that the silver foil is what you see after the installation. I'm confused because the Damplifier Pro has the black adhesive on the bottom, the foil, and then a thin black top that is glued/attached somehow to the foil. If i take off the wax cover and then install it, I'll be seeing the black cover on the outside and not the foil like all the videos and user installation shows. I'm assuming I should just take off the wax cover, roll it on, and not worry about that small black layer? That seems rather obvious to me, but the videos on Second Skin's websit…
