If I am going to be running two dc 2.0's strapped, pushing two Level 4 15's. I currently have a D3400 in front, and an XP3000 in rear. If I add another XP3000 will that be good? Going to have a 200A alternator, compared to 110 stock. Unfortunately cannot go bigger on the alt with my car due to belt wrap and pulley style.

are there any powermaster dealers in Trinidad? importing batteries is a byatch. The taxes and duties amount to about as much as the battery itself.

Alright in my Dodge Challenger my lights dim pretty bad with my system in now. System is ~1500 watts. Not sure if efficiency takes place when considering this though because two of the amps run strictly at 8ohms on all channels. Anyways I just have my stock battery and it isn't cutting it, dimming lights is no good. I would really like to just replace my stock battery, I have all my trunk space available and would like to keep it that way, so this is my only option. Anyways it looks like the D2600 would be a direct drop in and the D6500 would fit if I removed the battery tray. Would either of these be sufficient enough to emlinate the dimming lights? On a side, I have the…

I'm going to have a 180A HO alternator from Iraggi, and I'll be using a Hifonics XX Colossus II and a Soundstream REF4.920 that will be giving out about 3600W rms together. I was thinking about replacing my starting battery and adding some secondary batteries in the back. I read your "I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need?" thread and if I understood it correctly a D1200 in the front and a D3400 would be sufficient for my system. But would this be optimal, should I maybe have 2 or even 3 D3400 in the back plus the D1200 in the front? It is a daily system, but I will go on a couple DB contests per year.

  9. No lights were left on, no doors were left open (if that could even be an issue since my Ford's lights go off after 10 minutes to save the battery anyway). After getting the batteries charged, I put them in and hope the alternator would do the rest. I left my car running for an hour... Perfect! The battery's voltage tested at 14.4v while running. Then I turned the car off. The voltage dropped to 12.6v, what a fine resting voltage you may think.... After waiting a minute or so, I started to notice that every 5-10 seconds, the voltage dropped by .01v. This was odd, and I'm wondering what's up. I'd love someone to tell me a problem like this is covered under the warr…

There has been a lot of questions about charging batteries lately. Lets look at it this way. A D3100 is around $350. A multimeter or volt meter can be purchased for $40 to how ever much you want to spend on one. IMHO it would be a good investment to get a multimeter/volt meter to make sure the batteries are being charged at the correct voltages. Multimeter/volt meters are just good things to have on hand for any electrical situation. You can usually find some pretty good deals in pawn shops on stuff like this.

Not sure how many of these I would need to run an SD16KD. Also, what would be the advantages/disadvantages of running the 14V batt. vs 4 D3100's? I already have a D3400 up front, would I want to change this to a 14v batt as well if I decide to go with the D1400? Thanks, Nova

So I emailed xs and asked about what I needed as far as batteries go. Here is the actual email. I just wanted to know if this is all I really need? I want my voltage to stay up and dont want it dropping. What would you recommend for my current installation? As it stands right now I have a 260 amp alternator. I drive a lincoln aviator which is the same as a ford explorer. The stock alternator was a 130 amp. I do not know how much current draw it pulled but I am sure it is more than the average car. I listen to my music loud 90% of the time. As for my current installation goes I have 4 of the sundown saz1500s going in which have fuse ratings of 150 amps and then I…

Hey all. Putting 3 d3100's in my setup and am thinking about putting them in a toolbox or sealed battery boxes under a tonneau cover in the back of my truck. How much impact will cold Colorado winters and hot summers (around 100 degrees) have on the performance of these batteries? My plans are to run a few runs of 1/0 up to some buss bars inside the cabin and then go from there to my amps. thoughts?

I can only keep charging voltage below 14.4 if I do 2 amp charge. If I go to 8 amp charger reads 15 even. So I'm I right by keeping ampare down?

So Im looking to add another battery to my truck as Im wanting to have no electrical issues. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota crew cab with 4.7L V8 and will be recieving and installing my Singer 250 amp alt in about 2 weeks. I have a XS power D2700 in the front and a positive and neg run of Knu OFC 0 guage to back. My problem is I want to put a new battery under my false floor and only have like 6-6.25" max of height and about 16" depth by 16 width approx. I was going to get a XP2000 but even on its side I dont have the height, my question is: will running two XP950's be much less power than an XP2000? I know on paper its not much. Also will this be adequate for a Crescendo BC2…

  20. I personally feel that people that run their charging system (12v) at 15.6-16.1v using the MLA module are crazy, but i dont know how to explain i to them. I have a few friends using it and i worry that they are overcharging their batteries, is it the right thing to do, or should they go another route such as using an external reg alt to charge @ 14.9 like i saw in another post in this forum Thanks -Robin

I plan on running a relatively high power setup. Two Warden 18's @ .7ohm (dual .7 series, then parallel) on a SAZ-4500D, a SAX-100.4 and a 50.4. Now what would be better for Park-and-play? I was planning on (3) D3100's plus a yellow/blue top under the hood and (2) 200A alts, or a single 300-350A. Would the (3) D3100's be good for reserve? Or should i get a higher number of smaller/lighter batteries? I would think while parked, i would keep it idling, but not having to is a plus. Thanks, -Chris
