What does this do? There isn't much info on the website about it and I can't find any info anywhere else. I was told it would raise and hold the voltage of the vehicle it is hooked up in to a set voltage and will regulate it there. Is this true? How high would it hold on a stock 120 amp alternator safely for testing purposes?

Im going to be running 4 of the new Cadence IA9 HC and Im going to be getting 2 of the upcoming goup 27 batteries from powermaster in the fall along with a D3400 up front and 1 D1200 and 1 D680 in the back and according to powermaster new website on the amount of power each battery can handle the 2 2700 should be able to handle 4000 watts rms a piece as back ups and then the 1200 is 2000 rms I think and the 680 is 1000 rms and the 3400 since its up front should be 2000 watts rms as well and then I have all this on a 250 amp alt from mechman my question is am I figuring this right and will the 4 IA9hc which put out 2400 rms a piece be ok or will I have to be careful I plan…

I have an option to use a step up converter to run at 18.5v. I can't set it any higher or i risk damaging my amps as they are only rated up to 18.5v. Is 18.5v high enough to charge a D1000? If it's not, what is the recommended voltage and how good would 18,.5v be before i would have to top it off myself with a charger? once a week maybe?

Gonna see if I can ask this right. No matter the 12v battery, why are the cells in side of a battery typically rest at 2.17v? What is so special to make this common, yet generic at the same time? Why do we not increase these just a hair, like 2.3v per cell? Why has something like this not been done? I do not understand the build of a battery obviously. @2.3v per cell, we would have a 13.8v battery capable of safely charging around 15.3v. Reason i bring this up is the 14v battery seems like a trial and error install in terms of it "may" work but if it doesn't.. your electronics will get damaged. That's not acceptable so why hasn't\wasn't a less severe approach going from …

lookin at one of the xs batteries (5100R) and i got a question, the amp rating is based on 14.4V (right?) and im guessing the 12V on the battery is for how much it puts out so does that mean the amp isnt going to get sufficient power?
