Had a great day yesterday at the Meca TN State finals yesterday. Me and Senchez both won our class. I came home with.. 1st place Mod 3 TN state final New TN state record 155.4 @ 33hz at the headrest on 190 amps of fusing Highest SPL score of the day SPL Best of show (combined highest scores) 3rd place DB 5 (130.4) 6ft away Phat truck award Sencheezy took home the Mod 4 state title Thanks to DSS and Ampere Audio for the support and amazing products, I'm looking forward to World Finals and I see big things coming next year....

Was thinking of ordering 10" Ethos was needing the physical dimension for these subs. Also needing recommended enclosure sizes for a ported enclosure.

What's the rms power rating of a ethos?

I'm expecting them to be in for tax time. I'll post preliminary small signal parameters for each size based off FEA programs however official T/S parameters will not be posted until I have each size and coil configuration Klippel tested. In addition to Small signal parameters I will have Large Signal parameters list which is what will be used to determine enclosure specifications. Below are the preliminary pricing I am expecting these to MAP for. They may very a bit but I don't expect it to be more than 5 or 10 bucks more or less. 10"= $275 12"= $282 15"= $290 18"= $305

So Ijust purchased a new to me 04 tahoe, and I'm planning my new system. I'm set on two 18 inch ethos what should I shoot for on the box and what are some good amp rec.? Basically it's gonna be a daily system bump on my way to work and back etc. Thanks in advance. p.s I was looking at the Soundqubed 3500

Quentin I was wondering if the run of ethos that are coming in October will have any changes compared to the previous Ethos. I know you had talked about and showed pics of the new surrounds, will those be used on the ones built in October. Is there any other planned changes, Also what is the cost for dual leads instead of single leads? Thanks in advance for the info.

I should start off by saying, this should NOT be an review, yes I've named the thread Review, but it should be more of an first impressions. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but mine still look brand new. I've seen a few guys complain about the leads. I still have the original cones. Even after multiple multiple multiple 160+ burps. I've yet to find a problem. Maybe I know when to turn the volume down, maybe because my amps are set clean, maybe I don't have enough power. It's funny though because after hearing about these issues others were having, I got scared and ordered a spare recone. Still new in the box. Thanks Quentin.

Just needed to show a few pics of some recent recones that were done on the Ethos. I'll let Quentin give any details if he chooses to, but I put a slight personal touch to them and feel that I'm pretty good at laying down a bead of glue here or there. Plus, I needed a reason to take pics with this LG G3. It has friggin laser aiming.

I am curious if all parts to build a complete 18" sub can be purchased through you, including motors? I was thinking it could help me with my over all build wait time. I've seen the thread with near everything short of the motor on 12's & 15's. Thanks Q, looking forward to 4-18's in my rebuild

I'm at a standstill waiting on parts for my Matrix so I decided to start a small install in my Civic. I'm not sure what the entire system will be but the sub will be a 10 inch MMAG sample that is on it's way. It'll be mounted in the the rear deck in a .4 cubic foot sealed enclosure. Pulled one sub out to use it to test some amplifiers and one of the terminals read 6.2ohms.. So, measured the lead, 1.56ohms. Measured right under the heatshrink where it goes to the terminal, still 1.56ohms. So, i started pushing up and down on the terminal spring and it dropped to 3.0ohms. Did it some more, 2.1ohms. Did it some more, 1.7ohms. Will not go any lower than that. What could be causing this? It will be a while before i have time to test the rest but i may have to tie the main supply wire to the terminal and to the lead after cutting off heat shrink to ensure i get lowest impedance possible.

I have a 98 mustang with a trunk wall not yet sealed with two 12" ethos on a bc3500 at 1 ohm with stock 130 amp alt and two batteries. The box is a 3 cu. ft. box net tuned to 28 hz. I hit a max of 140.18 @ 43hz. with the driver door open. First time ever on a meter.

Just took the plunge and placed the ordered for my Ethos 18" dual 2 ohm. I can't give enough praise to Quentin. This man doesn't know me from anyone and has treated me like I was holding cash in front of him in a store. Customer service like this is rare nowadays (I'm a Regional Director for a restaurant company) and I was repeatedly blown away by his willingness to answer questions that I had and quick response time. I really appreciate his tactfulness and I look forward to seeing his business blow up over the next few months/years. Just superb service top to bottom...thanks again Quentin. I was wondering what is the absolute smallest amount of airspace per 15 I can go with ported.

Due to unexpected high sales volumes I only have 35 motors avaliable for purchase. The next run will not be in until September. I will try to update as orders are placed.
