I was just wondering what most 1kw + amps do max power at and remain stable according to manufacturer at. If your 1 ohm stable amp can go to .5 ohm stable with some modding lets classify it is as doing max power at 1 ohm for the sake of this thread. Feel free to post what amp you have, what resistance it does max power at, and what rms power at that resistance is.

I'll go first.

elemental designs nine.1

1 ohm

1400w or so rms

uhmm.....

what if its not 1K watts and i can EAISLY mod it to do a .5 ohm load ?

some Amps do their max at 2 ohms and drop at 1 ohm

nopt quite sure right now of the models

dammit. I forgot about .5 ohm amps. For the sake of the thread lets keep this to 1kw + amps that are stable according to the manufacturer at whatever they do max power at.

welll

Its a HK-4000D

with a 1ohm load ( modded) it can do around 4K + RMS

Non modded @2 ohms its around 3600-3700RMS

I need to bench test it

what if we have one that does its power at 1 ohm and one that does its power at 2 ohms?

(Hifonics BX1500D and Tsunami DB1800T)

any mods wanna edit this poll to allow multiple votes and to include .5 ohm? I really screwed up on this one. lol.

i have 2 vipers so tech. they do power @ 1 ohm, but strapped, they do their power @ 2 ohms.

My Arc's do a conservative 1050 @ 4ohms bridged. I benched the one on the subs and it pushes 1345 @ 4ohms.

dei 1100D - 1100w@1ohm

the largest in my collection is the Orion 2500D, but I have a few older RFs that do power at 4ohms, but for now I voted with the Orion

I have a few amps that I can get 3k+ @ 0.35 ohm on 14.1vdc.

But I also have One amp that can knock out just shy of 2kw @3.8ohm with 15.8 vdc.

Are we assuming 14.4 vdc or 12vdc or 17vdc?

Why not just ask if the output stage is regulated....

I have a RE 35.1D rated at 1 ohm but i think it has been able to get a little more power at slightly lower resistance.

i've got the orion 2500d as well...rated at one ohm..but stable UNMODDED at lower impedences, which is where i voted..

and where i run it daily..lol..

and poll edited..

Phoenix Gold MS1000

rated 250x4 @ 4 ohm

1060x2 @2 ohm

birthsheet

1346X2 @ 2ohm

class AB power baby!!!

Dave, do you actually use that thing? I'm guessing current consumption to be 300+ amps full tilt, little less with music? Just a rough estimate.

yes I use it-----daily-----It is going in the Magnum along with a P9 set-up (wink wink Effendi) Brahma 15 MKII etc----read the sig.

Hell I was going to run the Revo 1500.1 @ 1 ohm(1610 watts) and run the PG MS1000 to my front stage only-----headroom anyone?
