Here's how it is here folks. WE HAVE RULES AND GUIDELINES ON THIS FORUM! Problem is, when people join, they don't read them. This forum is full of intelligent people whom know quite a bit more than even the minority of the forum can even grasp. Many of the users have been on the forum since its inception and consider it home. We protect it as so and will do everything in our power to keep it that way. It's tough love around here. Take it or leave it. We don't like idiots. We hold ourselves and everyone to a higher standard. What you may see as someone disrespecting you or something of that nature is not so, but keep in mind, RESPECT IS EARNED. This is NOT caraudio.com or any other forum that is full of idiots. If you are being retarded, we WILL point it out and we WILL be blunt about it. No need to pussy foot around. We are not concerned about someone's pussy getting hurt. We're only concerned about helping. If you are spreading false information, you WILL be called out on it. It doesn't matter what you think or what your research has lead you to believe, or what you've read on the internet and now believe to be the truth. If it's false, it's false and it will be corrected. IF you continue with spreading of the false information, action will be taken. This is NOT A TEXT MESSAGING PLATFORM. IF you have a question or want to engage in a discussion do so with proper type and spelling. Many times you see people with run-on sentences and paragraphs with ZERO punctuation. Not only is it difficult to read, but it makes you look like a fool. If you cannot take the time to type and spell properly, phrase something so it can be understood, and give all the information that will be needed to help, then don't expect the forum members to take their time to help you. Think before you type. What you READ in type may not necessarily be the same context as if it were spoken. Seriously, if something someone writes on an internet forum gets you upset or makes you feel down, you have other issues to deal with. Take a deep breath, look in the mirror and ask yourself if this person really matters to you. Will your whole day or life be affected by some type on a screen from someone you don't know? No, it won't. There's no need for anger or hatred. Understand, the owner's are providing this forum to you for free. It is their property and they are offering you unlimited use as you see fit, as long as you abide by the rules. IF you invite someone into your home and they act outside of your rules, you discipline them or remove them from your home. They have no rights. Same applies here. I will end this by saying that the moderation staff on this forum all stand behind each other. You can pretty much bet that if one mod is on your ass, we all are. We see and know everything and we talk about it all. Nothing gets past. We will cover each other and assist as needed. We all have each others' backs. Now, if you are concerned that someone is demeaning to you, think again. It's just the way we work. If you are called a "dumbass," don't think it so much that we are actually calling you a dumbass, but drawing your attention to your actions. Think of it as your mom or grandma smacking your ass when you were young and got in trouble. That "love" was meant to guide you in the right direction. THIS is how we operate.

That box will be fine as long as it is well built, the amp will do until you get something else just make sure your sending your sub clean signals and not clipped ones. If not you could build the box a lil bigger and get more outa it, if you have the room.

It's actually really, really simple. If you try to make a post that makes sense and really express your needs and opinions you will get a helpful answer. If you put no time or energy into your thought and blatantly disregard the terms & conditions of the site I will use just as much time in my response as you did in your initial thought. If the response is to whine then what is there to respect? If you don't try you don't deserve help. Remember this is a forum which means that EVERY thread should be there not only to help the OP, but ANYONE who searches and finds it. Simple forum etiquette gets you along way and if you don't understand that you have no place starting an argument over it either. As for being mean or belittling perhaps you should look at it the other way. A stupid post, misinformation, or not following standard forum procedures is a huge slap in our face basically as a poster you are saying FUCK you I don't give a shit about your rules or desires but answer my damn question. I agree an appropriate response would be to be more patient, but that will only further promote that style of behavior on the site and it is nothing that any of us want. I've got a deal for you. You guarantee that no more stupid threads or dumb posts get made and I'll be nice all the time. If not, then respect stays a two way street. If we (and the board) aren't respected don't expect me to respect the bitch who can't at least show us the respect. Really, really simple.

Im in Canada too, in my small city audio equip. holds absolutely no value. You would find alot more sucess in selling it online, you would be surprised how many people would want to buy that stuff from the US. You are going to lose money no matter, I get my stuff shipped to minnesota border, then pick it up, only 45 minute drive, but its 13% tax forthe equip. That you will never get back, ontop of lowering your price, I woulddo 275, then if anything depending on that, maybe lower to 250. Offer the dude some 12 gauge wire, show him a few vids, go over the parts of the sub compared to another "mainstream" company, and he might just buy it. GL with the sale!

Think on one factor here. Everyone who moderate this place, the place you hold so dear to you, will all tell you one thing. M5 is probably the most giving and helpfull individual you could ever hope to bump into. No one will defend him as it's a non issue. No one will close a topic or ban someone, the team here doesn't allow for martyrs. They would rather see you grow and contribute. Here's a little story... I had a job where after I made it through the probationary, I was put on an extended probation. I was furious, and when asked in a meeting with the department head I asked why this was nesicarry, and that the supervisor was playing favorites and let him know how much of a PITA she was blah blah blah. He replied by saying, "She aparently does see you have the potential to improve. If it's justafied or not it really doesn't matter as you need to live up to the expectations of your supervisor. She could have simply said you don't pass muster." After stewing on that for YEARS (it took so long because I'm dense and pridefull) I realized that my narritive and whining about her just made me look more incompitent, and in fact I wasn't living up to what I needed to be. Even if she was the worst supervisor in the world, and even though she did get transfered out, I was still in the wrong. It's not an easy lesson to learn.\ Rules are here. They are extremely crystal clear. Leinient hands moderate it in my opinion, and they only take action when someone brings down the value of this place that we all respect. Maybe you can see this place as just the intarwebs, but I don't. I see an extremely polite buisness. It's also one of the only places I can meet people who don't bore me instantly. I'm extroverted to the extreme, but also completely anti social. I come here to deal with people whom I want to, not have to. And that's just the HOP. This site has college study scales of information. All for free. People with experience education, and personal passion are willing to not only give you an answer but to help you LEARN TO GET YOUR OWN INFORMATION!!! This is what people pay hundreds of thousands on in college. It's not about getting an answer, it's about developing the ability to learn. Perhaps this is just the internets, but you can use this to better yourself, step up and be more than you thought you could. YOu can strengthen your ego and solidify your thoughts, or you can nurse poor behavior. Comming from "the streets", wall street, or main street or any damn other parkway or avenue you always have to obey the rules of the road, and if you don't like the rules get off or do something to get it changed. Don't complain about the people who put that road out there for you to take advantage of every day.

I have learned so much from this forum including from ///M5. I have always treated and have been treated with respect. I don't know everything and I don't claim that I do. . . . And others like to make useless comments with their head up their ass. I take the positive from situations, for example... While having your head up your ass is just plain stupid, having a dick head up your ass is just plain gay.

Why? Not necessary.......... As long as your not doing stupid things it'll be fine (and things like HPF are in place so they aren't playing too low freq's etc but that is the same for ALL speakers no matter what the power rating...) Choosing speakers should be more a "what sounds good to you" thing to be honest.

Chop, it's all good, but I look at things in a different light. I grew up in the bad part of town myself. While my parents worked day and night to put me in a good school away from the "bad" element, I've seen it all and was involved in enough shit to be put in jail for life, but I got lucky. Now, some may or may not be as well-educated as some of us here. That's beside the point. The fact of the matter is, if you do nothing to help the situation, you're only making it worse. While it may seem petty, giving in to the use of improper grammar, no matter the situation, is only going to hinder progress. Pretty soon, you have a forum that reads like a, well for lack of a better term, idiot board. This is the problem with out society. Everyone wants to make an excuse for people. We don't. Anyone who feels they can not communicate on the forum properly can ask for help or leave. It's simple. If they want to learn, if they truly have the passion and desire this forum was founded upon, they will extend the effort, and we will extend our hand. This is much the way we all run our lives. You see countless numbers who fall by the wayside, giving in, taking the easy way out. You see many others who strive and want to succeed and their drive propels them. This is the passion we all share here. This is getting OT, but the fact of the matter is, there is nothing personal here. There are rules and we enforce them. I don't know what the whole issue with Steve and Sean was. I know Sean and his smart ass ways. I don't think he was demeaning in any way. Steve made a comment that could have been taken as a threat and that was where the line was crossed. Now, he PMed me and everything was cleared up and he did what he needed to do to get a resolution. He handled himself maturely and like a man. I thought that was great as most NooBs would not hesitate to lash out in a post, but he held himself back and proceeded correctly. I know Sean personally and have met him before. He is a great guy. You may find his type as demeaning and immature, but I can assure you, he is only meaning to better you. Think of him as a drill Sergeant. We all know what "assholes" they can be, but they are in place to make that soldier the best he can be. We're all human, and we all have room for improvement. I hope we can all grow together.

Sometimes people need an ass-whuppin' in order to learn. M5 has helped me out in the past with very direct answers to my questions. My truck broke down once and my brother came and helped me - he wasn't the most pleasant person at the time because he was angry at my incompetence and that I did not know how to fix a simple problem, but he helped me a lot. When you know what you're talking about, have explained it multiple times, yet people still ask the same questions repeatedly- opening their mouths before reading I can see where frustration could really manifest.

If you use this forum with proper grammar, good spelling, and courtesy to others while maintaining a light attitude about things, there should be no problems. Yes, Sean comes across as abrasive. However in my short time here I have seen his true intentions, in my opinion, are to help those that genuinely want to learn and contribute here while keeping those who create waves in check. In my opinion, this topic should be closed and deleted because it is a smack in the face to a moderator who is a great asset to this forum.

x2, everybody has had their run in or two with ///M5 (but some people are brutally honest and say what they feel regardless of how it makes others feel); I dont fault him for that since more people should be like that (I am and thats why its easy to accept and deal with). Meh, sometimes he's an ass but he's helpful a lot of the time. And I think its just something about being behind the keyboards.
