Correct shipping charge?
2 pointsYour f'n kidding me right? You going to be PM'ing people on the board that is partially paid for by said SSA Store because the SSA Store follows the XS POWER dealer agreement and sells at the price we are supposed to and we do not control the shipping costs? Is that what I am reading? We are still having this problem? I am sorry our ethics are not in the dumpster going against dealer agreements to make a quick buck by undercutting others and devaluing the product. Pretty flipping livid right now.2 points

Correct shipping charge?
1 pointI hope you're not talking to me? I made this thread to double check if the shipping is correct so that I may support a good store instead of going to a competitor. The store I found sold the batteries at the same price as SSA, but with free shipping. Now I would like to support SSA, but $243 is not pocket change for a student. And I did not send any PM's about anything. I was not talking to you, hence the point about PM'ing people. We had this issue badly with Sundown and SKAR "reps" in the past, along with RD "reps" bashing product to push their own, all the while using the forum to make a buck. Lowest form of life.1 point

1 point1 point- Big Secret?
1 pointYou will find out at the same time as the world will since Fi does not early release info or pictures on products that arent ready for release. It doesnt matter how many threads you make about it.1 point- Budget components? Low power and low cost.
I was considering those but they are rated at 85 rms. I feel since they are IA they are probably underrated and I'm concern I wont be able to get them loud enough with 70rms, or will I just be clipping them at higher volumes. RMS is not an important factor when going to buy comps, get what fits your budget and what you like. If you do get the IA components and they dont seem loud enough to you then sell your amp and buy an amp that puts out more power. But like others said, going from coaxials on head unit power to components on an amplifier will be a night and day difference.1 point- Good efficient amp?
1 pointYou would not be able to wire down to .66 you're options are 1.34, 3 or a 12 ohm load. Whomever told you you would reach .66 was wrong. I was only able to get down to .66 with dual 2's and 6 of them. Thats why he said he has (3) dual 4 ohm drivers and not (3) dual 2 ohm drivers, with (3) dual 4 ohm drivers 0.66 ohm load is possible along with a 2.67 ohm load.1 point- Good efficient amp?

Are you getting another type of dustcap made or is that what you will be using? They look like shit. Just an opinion. The nav is badass looking though.1 point- Correct shipping charge?

-1 pointsI have a board that cut to make a 3/4 lid for the old spare tire area, now the new battery storage area when I get two new batteries. The board covers up most of the area, leaving some room in the back for wires from amps and car (I havent decided how I will throw 2 - 90AH batteries down there yet but thats were they will go). Should I leave lid above carpet or undercarpet (Option #1 or Option #2)? Thanks for input fellas. Unpainted storage lid Painted storage lid Carpet over paint storage lid - Option #1 Storage lid on top of carpet unpainted Storage lid on top of carpet painted - Option #2 Which route would you go with placing this storage lid, if its above the carpet I will attach enclosure on top of it but if not it will go undercarpet?-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsIm not gonna carpet the lid, it is sprayed with speckle paint and will stay like that. Thats exactly why I didnt make the lid take up the whole storage space and the box will be wider than it is deeper so air will be able to get down there. I just want some suggestions on if the lid should be under the carpet or on top thats all.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsFor electrical: Big 2 of 3 done (only upgraded ground wires so far, will upgrade battery positive to alternator during this build or when I get my h/o alternator but it came with stock 4 gauge so its cool for now). -engine block to cars frame is currently 1 run of 1/0 AWG Kicker Hyperflex and will be replaced/upgraded with 1 run of 3/0 or 4/0 AWG welding wire. -battery negative to cars frame is currently 2 runs of 1/0 AWG Kicker Hyperflex and will be replaced/upgraded with 1 run of 3/0 or 4/0 AWG welding wire. As for subwoofers I am learning towards 1-15" since I never had one and want to try one out, so if I go that route I will get a Sundown Z15(D4) on the Sundown SAZ-2000D at 2 ohms and maybe upgrade in the future to a nightshade if I want more or just to switch between two. But then again I dont want to leave the 2-12"s option and get 2 Sundown SA-12"s and see how they treat me, its all a toss up but for some reason im leaning towards the 15" option. The enclosure will be no more 3.5 for either box tuned at 30Hz. Looking at keeping it an all Sundown trunk for now (subs, amps) for now but time will tell.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsYeah I ended up flipping a coin and the Sundown Z15 won, so it will be one 15".-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsYeah Im working on getting a board so I can start making my battery tray in the spare tire well. Yeah I like low tuning and Jacob said the lowest I should go is 28 so I decided to go 29hz. Well yeah your right but Im cool on that, this may be a temporary sub or may be permanent sub but regardless of what amp someone has the sub will resale if I want it too. I am looking at the Nightshade v2 and if I do purchase it I will have 2 subs in case something happens or dont like the Nightshade v2 or whatever. But thanks for the info.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsyeah it came down to me flipping a nickel since at the time a quarter wasnt available, the Z15 won best out of 3 and 5. The board will go under carpet also.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsNot a problem man, I will definantly take you up on that offer (we can have some beers and relax and talk audio, pick each other's brain on this hobby/addiction). I stay right across the street from new Cowbosy Stadium and down the street from the Rangers Ballpark. This build log will be slow and decisions and designs are slowly changing so I could use someone else's input also since I have been sending everybody PM's lately just for their crtique. Sundown Audio Z15 ordered a second ago, .-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsAnd that you will, I ordered sub yesterday (Monday) just got a tracking number that it was shipped today (Tuesday) and it will be here on Friday. Jacob is the man. Im feeling like .-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsWhy would I and everybody has there preferences, those may be lows to you but not to me (Im down 1hz from what is recommended and I prefer lows over output anyday). But thanks for your input, if anything I will go to 30Hz and no higher.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsYeah man just so it will be easy to search here you go (resonance), but yeah Im still learning all this tuning and how your car affects it but the range I posted a minute ago is my understanding of tuning frequencies for a ported enclosure. I dont think your the ultimate low fan so I think 32Hz is a good place to start for tuning and go from there.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsI do know that box size does play a role into the tuning equation but since nobody can give Chop a good box size to go with for that sub and he said the box seemed to big so I recommended going a little smaller. The reason why my box is so small because thats what Sundown ask for their 15"s and mine is .15ft^3 bigger than the biggest recommendation.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsThanks for your advice and I will raise the tuning to 30hz and leave it there, time to design a new box.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log

-1 pointsI havent been up to anything yet, considering Im unemployed at the moment the speed of this build log wont be that fast but I will definantly be keeping you guys posted. I will have multiple pictures of my new baby when it get heres tomorrow and a new Avatar so get ready fellas. I will be getting the bottom board for my battery rack cut sometime today or this weekend by a friend since I dont have any tools. I just met a member on this site who stays in my area who has tools so a box for this puppy may be here before you know it. Eventually sometime in the future I may get Thumper or Fisher Customs to make me an enclosure for it just because there designs are sick (depends if this sub is a keeper or not but I think it will be).-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsPictures as promised, this is my first 15'' subwoofer (9 out of 10 of my last systems were 12"s and one set of sorry as 10"s). I have no words to describe how I feel, wish I had a box for this puppy. I did hook it up to the house stereo on free air just to see if it worked and get a little umph from it, too excited. -1 pointsYeah I got about 10 autographed balls in this house, I even have a hat or ball dont remember(my mom put it up somewhere) with Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Magic Johnson and some other players who played with the Lakers at the time (in elementary school my teacher loved me to death and her daughter got it signed for me since she was a cheerleader for the Lakers in the early to mid 90's.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsNaw Im taking my time on this one and doing everything right incase I upgrade in the future, no shortcuts on this install just to hear it.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsNothing major, I finally got the wood cut that I want to place the batteries on. Stock Battery Location in the trunk - Positive : 2 runs of 4 AWG (system and car), Ground : 2 runs of 1/0 AWG Just got wood cut for battery board, what the batteries will be laid down on and attached too.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsStarted on an amp board that will turn my 60/40 fold seats into one long folding seat, once I get all screws in I will put pads over screws so it wont scratch the bottom of my amps when I have done this in the past. Should be finished by end of weekend, depends on if I find a drill or not.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsSo I finished the amp board early this morning: Before Board Amp Board Installed Pad to go under amp to protect it from the screws Amp installed on amp board-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsThere is no telling, Im still getting it designed at the moment but even if it is done it wont go in for a minute. Here are a couple more pictures of SAX-125.2 installed:-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsYou would risk your life for an $8 board from Home Depot, I picked it out of the Book Shelf, Shelve Building section (already painted and cut to size exact/they have different sizes and colors available). But thanks for the compliment, this is my third time doing this but wanted to make this one a little more special than the last one and the padding underneath the amp does it.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsI'm taking the amp too! lol Yeah dude, that padding must be like temperpedic amp bedness. Haha, yeah I only have two and will be putting the other one under my other high amp I get in the future. I wish I had two more to put under my sub amp but I have padded feet for those right now.-1 points- jay-cee's Build Log
-1 pointsI ordered some KnuKonceptz rca's Monday, one of these days after I get some more products in I will take one of those pictures with everything that is not in the car yet but will be going in there.
