  1. bought a new toy built by Hank and kyle (48 10"s). he had it doing 154.6db. @ 40hz. w/ 2 custoum 18" ns, 4 saz-2500's, and 6 C&D batteries, sealed on the dash! so far i have my 2 SSA XCONS, 2 Cresendo 2k's, and 4 Stinger SPV70 batteries, i instralled my equipment in one night, went to a show that morning and was able to do a 152.2db. @ 38hz. there is several other videos of the car with his equipment in it on Youtube, it would be under Hank's Civic.
  2. It is good Neil. Fucking freaky mask. Oh I also found net flix and the show mad men. I know I am behind the damn times but I am going to propose to Christina Hendricks. My wife has agreed that it is the right thing to do.... I didn't know they made women like that.
  3. Hey all! Glad to be back. I hope I can be here more. I took some time out of my life to just change it up. A great couple I know is in a hard spot and needed some house work done in a pinch and the man of the house is on the mend from a shattered leg. Made some cash, getting healthier and healthier. I think I might be able to get back into a constant gym routine without aggravating my health issues..... Now getting in great shape will be #1 in my life and then finding a job and fixing home life will be number 2. How is everyone? It feels like I haven't been here for a year. It's crazy but I miss this crew. I am a little sad that you guys are not moving the HOP faster. WTF.
  4. Well looks like I will be trying to pick up a AudioQue 2200d to power it next week.. Should be building the Box tomorrow truck is coming along. I needs a lot of work still just on the truck its self let alone the system. Pics coming soon. Building the Optimal Ported box recommend by SSA. Even picked up a new Pioneer head unit for it. And 0/1 guage wire. Few new batterys and my 250amp alternator and im good to go.
  5. El.Oh.El. As if they were 'SQ' drivers in the first place, now they will actually say it.
  6. Ok, I had to go see these vids from the library computer since my internet is still jacked at home. VERY NICE Chop!! Maybe I'll be able to get a floating bottle or 2 in my Burban before long once I get the other amp in and strapped.
  7. test....orders 1703,1828,2726,3412
  8. Could make a mini series. Neal, what is the name of the character that you wear that mask for? Would be funny to make a video with a bunch of your clips merged together in a kind of 'where's the "NEM"' and his Xcon's? Because we know, YouTube stars are made over night. Think of all the fan's you could have. Hell, I think you would need your own forum then too. Call it www.scaryloud.com or www.frightfulfrequencies.com. Yes, both are available.
  9. Here is what I am going to try, we have a very good DH video camera and I hope it will record the music as it sounds along with some of my antics. You would not believe how these XCONs blend, very crisp and just down right awesome!
  10. 1 point
Same as above. Dry no mayo. I hate mayo. But if ur talkin BtLs I got two D212s in 4.4 cubic tuned to 26 Hz. Four aeroports, six runs of 0ga running from two shuriken bt35s under the hood to four XS D1200s in the trunk. Got a 270 amp Mechman alternator also. Amplification provided by two zenon 2ks strapped and a mb quart 4ch. Box was built into the trunk, fiberglassed in from both sides, totally sealed off. Why do you ask?
  11. don't blow your money when you get it. Try saving some. Then when life happens, you can afford it.on sunday the ac in my house went out, now its fixed. If I blew all my money on my Camaro I wouldn't have had the 1000s of dollars to fix it. When you make it, save it.
  12. No problem partner, good luck. Just as an FYI, if you get an alty that will be able to handle 5kw+(I'ma guess 300 amp here) be prepared to: 1) lose some fuel mileage. It makes the engine work much harder, the more you load that alt, the harder it will be to turn. 2) You'll have to buy a much better serpentine belt. The stocker will squeal like a pig. Listen to the recommendation from whoever supplies your alty. Some will try to sell you one, to make it easy, just buy that one. If not, or if you want to save money, shop at the autoparts stores for a good one. I think that there is one called a Gatorback by Goodyear maybe? I've always liked that one. Unless you absolutely know for a fact that you will be putting a 5kw+ system in that saturn, I wouldn't spend money on the largest alt possible. Get one that will support what you know for a fact that you can afford within say the next 2 years. It takes a lot more than a HO alt and some amps to properly build and support a 5 kw system. There will be a lot of money to spend on things you never thought of. If you think you have money issues now, wait till you have to build a 5+kw system, especially in a small car like that.
  13. love to see a chop has bass video!
  14. I can tell you now 2500 ain't gonna come close if you plan on running any kind of decent power to the BTLs. You could easily sink 1500-2000 in just the charging system and battery bank if you plan on running a lot of power to them. I honestly think you need to do a lot more reading up and experience before you tackle something this serious.
  15. Well looking in person they do look identical and if you didn't know the differences in the subs its fairly easy to make that mistake.
  16. I think people just like making generalities. Actual research is beyond alot of people.....just lazy :-/
  17. Unless of course you are J and have a stereo pair of subs as your midbasses up front!
  18. Another video. http://youtu.be/WO1wJv_N1Ys

  20. That's still an extremely vague question, and unfortunately the DQXS has enough settings that we are not going to be able to help you set each one appropriately for your system over the internet. There are too many variables. What particular features are you having trouble setting? Do you understand what those features are and how to use them properly? EDIT: We posted at the same time, and apparently the answer to my latter question would probably be "no". A good place to start would be the read the manual cover to cover. Once you are done, read it again cover to cover. Then go out to the unit, with the manual, and read it again cover to cover while using the unit so you work through the controls and how to use the unit.
  21. thanks for the input! I am new to this kind of thing so I am still learning. I will deffinitly be adding another set screw.
  22. Very good machining! However, from experience, I can tell you that using a single set screw to lock onto the battery post will become loose after time especially with the body of the terminal extending to accomidate the wires (some what of a lever effect), using two set screws 90 degrees apart would have been ideal. Overall, very good, you got some skills there dude keep it going.
  23. Big thanks to Mark and his lovely wife and aaron for all there pics and vids so far . heres one mark sent today enjoy
  24. The container should be in port at Charleston on April 7th -- we USUALLY get it less than a week after that. So cross your fingers Once they come in I'll bring in a few extra helpers to test them as fast as possible to get them out to customers.
  25. if you have a vehicle with a full frame running front and rear batteries to the same frame rail is fine. If it is a unibody vehicle I would recommend the same number of ground runs between batteries as positive runs. As for fuse types the only time I've seen an advantage to running many smaller fuses over one large one is in competitions to get more surface area for fuses to stay in a lower fuse class but with higher power, if you're just ground pounding larger fuses are fine. If you're curious about the different fuse types I would just buy whatever is readily available near you.I prefer anl fuses and afs fuses, also kown as mini anls, but most places don't stock afs fuses.
  26. Running an additional ground for your alternator isnt going to hurt anything so if you have the extra 1/0 go for it. I would suggest a second run of positive between batteries and fuse them according to the current draw the wire is rated for. The only place you need to fuse for the amp rating is the runs to the amp. The fuses between batteries is to protect the wires and batteries. Everyone may not agree but i suggest fusing both sides between the batteries preferably as close to the batteries as possible.
