  1. I was wondering where to get my protein for our here on my deployment back in June. I contacted TrueProtein.com and got some great deals. Guys all I ask is you check them out. Their prices are VERY competitive and unlike alot of the 'big box' supplement makers, when you order 5 lbs of Protein with Chocolate flavor, you get 5 lbs of protein, THEN they add in the cholcolate flavor. This give your more protein for your dollar. Use Discount code JNR490 to save 5% off your entire order and 10% if you order over 16 lbs. Again all I ask is you check it out. The site may not be 'flashy as hell' but in the world of fitness when did shiny become a requirement? J

I'm looking for either a pioneer prs series head unit or alpine 9886. Budget of 200$ thanks
  3. Little love for Neal
  4. Um, OMG, what a mess. It isn't that big of deal, it gains you absolutely nothing in a car over a standard digital signal, and isn't even that expensive. They've even moved away from it in home audio for the same reasons. HDMI (non-optical) sounds the same as a fiber optic cable and doesn't have the inherent disadvantages of being glass.
  5. And that is the way to do it! J
  6. You need a better fuse holder. You have a bad connection.
  7. No fuse is a bad idea. In all my limited experience, when I've seen this it was solely due to a bad connection. If it's an overcurrent issue or a short the fuse will blow, but current flowing through resistance creates heat and that heat is what's melted it.
  8. Damn looks like (2) 125.4 can fit the same space as (1) 100.4 New/smaller 2500 as well??
  9. After running the Xcon line of subs, before the cooling update, that sub still holds an ownership of low frequency dominance, in daily clarity with monstrous output.
  10. Cotto !!! Should be interesting ...
  11. Oh ok, haha, I trust you now, but listened to your opinion anyways So you say you would need transmitters/receivers for all channels, why is this? As I've stated, my mixamp takes the sound into my headphones in 5.1 surround. This is my confusion when you say that we would need a separate receiver for each channel. But your correct, my X-box only has one output. My idea would be, From source, one output to lets just say a 5-channel amp. Thats one cable. Which obviously has many advantages over 3 RCAs would, IMO.
  12. Thanks for your input CableGuy. I never imagined that it would uber expensive to have Optical recievers since the cable itself can be had for a few dollars or less. At home, I have mixer/amp that I use for gaming that utilizes the optical input from my xbox and I can tell a HUGE difference in sound compared to normal RCAs. This cable is only 6ft long, and this mixer is nothing of SQ oriented to my knowledege. Can be had for less than 150$ and is designed for gaming, not Audiophiles. Call me loco, but for some reason I was thinking there was a difference between "Fiber Cable", and "Optical Cable". Notice images below. Fiber Cable Optical Cable
  13. He needs to use the fast forward button Very nice build, Russia knows how to get loud.
  14. Nice job, your definitely gonna feel that bass!
  15. If you have any intentions of upgrading in the future, as far as power is concerned, I would suggest the Gcon. But the Dcon is a monster sub in its own right as well. What sub will have more output with that much power, I'm not sure.

You should post this under the "Speaker" section as your question has nothing to do with Fi. People are going to FLAME the shit out of you because you have put zero effort into forming a decent question. List your depth restrictions, budget, what you've heard in the past (and liked or disliked), and a more detailed explanation to your goals, other then "sounding good." Will these speakers be on an amplifier? What do you currently dislike about your current speakers, what's lacking? the more information given, the easier it is for others to offer helpful advice.
  17. She's coming right along, keep it up.
  18. 1.speaker negative on amp 1 to speaker negative on amp 2 2.amp 1 positive to sub positive (master) 3.amp 2 positive to sub negative (slave) 4.all settings on master amp 5.all settings on slave amp all the way down 6.subwoofer cable to connect the amps (will be a single RCA jack) 7.main RCAs into master amp

Damn that came out nice. He better appreciate it!
  21. just ordered a set of these
  22. Just finished cleaning the rust and repainting the driver's side rain gutter on the Jeep. For it's age rust wasn't big. Wire wheel action, Naval Jelly, primer and black paint. And I found some nice seam sealed locally, so I went crazy on the seams. The rain gutter was not even primered from the factory, a trim was just slapped on with seam sealer and there we go. If my fix lasts 2-3 years without rust (always parked in the garage), I'm a happy camper. Passenger side rain gutter doesn't seem to have problems but it will also come later.
  23. Thanks everyone for the wishes. And yeah jons right. Hearing my 20 month old son tell me "happy birthday daddy, I love you" was probably the sweetest thing iv ever heard.
  24. I cross my sub @50hz and it is steller sounding at any level. That's where mine is, crossed as low at the ms8 allows, otherwise I'd try lower! Definitely like it crossed low, impact without "muddying up" the front stage.
  25. That amp does power at 1ohm most likely (depends on the model) You would need a dual 2ohm coil wired in parallel to 1ohm.
  26. But the Icon can be very loud to. You want 140dbs with just one 12" ? Not easy. If you want to play music too, it will be harder ! Just my 2 cents.
  27. I can honestly say that Sundown products are amazing, and I have no doubt in my mind that the SSA products are anything less than audiophile porn.. I know for a fact that SSA will be the first place I'm looking for new subs when the time is right.
  28. Sadly, I have to report that ID is not owned by the same people anymore, having a close friend who has been part of their team for over a decade; we have discussed what that means about their products/customer service etc... and he basically told me it's going to be a lot like Diamond Audio's sell out... A good name, but product is dated and will probably never improve in terms of quality. If I had to choose an SSA sub for sound quality it would probably be the Icon, if you would like to keep the build budget friendly, the Gcon line is also an excellent choice.
  29. If you are set and have the money then buy the idmax, it's a very good driver. If not, an ssa icon is right up there, I would personally choose the icon, because its cheaper, cheaper to recone, and I have guaranteed direct customer service. JMO.
  30. I personally believe my ssa xcon 12" sounds better in a ported box then my old idmax in a sealed box. but I blew the Idmax and I didnt want to buy a recone for 180. and before the idmax I also had a alpine type r 12" the ssa xcon and idmax are in a whole nother league trust me. also recones for a ssa xcon is only like $110 so its much cheaper to recone.
  31. I've owned products from all three companies including the IdMax. With the recent changes I'd check out products from SSA or Sundown who have a great product with awesome customer service.
  32. Curious as to why this is? I know the t/s specs are similar and they model almost the same in box software, but that's like saying rum and bourbon taste the same because they're both brown.
