Dcon 15''
2 pointsNot sure what load you had the sundowns on, but the Dcon's should take the power. BUT!!!!! as a smart company, we are not going to suggest running more then double the rms, then have a world of people cooking their sub woofers and complaining about warranty coverage because I said it should take more then double the power. We like to keep our doors open and stick to suggested rattings. You are going to see very little gain on any sub woofer for daily driving pushing them way past rms ratting. What you will see is a shortened life span.2 points

Incriminator Components?
1 pointI'm in the market for a new front stage and I'm thinking about trying a component set. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, sometimes dubstep. I'm looking at the Incriminator audio 6.5" components because they seem to have some good feedback and well in my price range. Would you guys recommend these to me? Or anything else you guys recommend? They will be in stock door locations. The 6.5s in stock location and tweeters in stock a pillar locations. Will be getting clean 100rms to each side. Gains turned down. I'm not too familiar with comp sets and what to look for. I'm just looking for some good SQ with some loudness. Thanks for your help guys. Sorry if what I've posted isn't enough, again I'm not too sure to look for lol.1 point

Here is the 03 we just sold. Me and a friend took roughly 1.5 years to complete. Its a bad mofo, sold a few months ago though. Car had 27k original miles when we bought it. I made a few 9 sec passes in it. Was super fun coming off the trans brake and the car had a KB 2.8 Mammoth Kit and Powerglide, 9in and spray but never did put the bottle to it. If you like trucks and speed look into a SRT-10. You can pick them up for a deal and they are really nice and will flat get. I also had one of those on a 175 shot and I tell you, that SOB was a monster! Here is my 03 Saleen I also had. This car was a ton of fun and would hook like a bitch. Sorry, talking cars gets me alittle carried away, LOL Car audio is just my second hobby1 point- Sound Solutions Audio ZCONS Don't get loud :(
I learned this with my first wall. Never use 1 part adhesive for vertical bonding in a wall. It's just not strong enough. You want some good 2 part Epoxy resin with glue adhesion. US Composites - Fasco 110. This stuff will bond anything to anything, including replacing your wood glue with it. Although, i still use Titebond in areas where gravity does not make it run.1 point- Sound Solutions Audio ZCONS Don't get loud :(

Three first places. its a little bittersweet. This show, a year ago was my first ever. i really would have liked to do better but the SPL gods were not with me. Also found out at the show today that a good buddy that i compete with often died on monday. Cool cat. competed in iasca for a long time in the 90's and 00's. been competing since then in usaci here in houston. and of course my lil homie1 point- THE SSA BASSTRO VAN........EPIC REBUILD!
This is a trial run box to see how I will like the style and performance of it. I am taking a shot in the dark but all things need to be experienced to see if they work. The back woofers will have to be mounted in before I can finish sealing off the inner walls as they are right on point of the max they can be. Man more and more stuff from SSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what just happens to be in these boxes?1 point- THE SSA BASSTRO VAN........EPIC REBUILD!
great photo right here. Looking forward to hearing this one day.1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
This is the other panel after I sanded it down and trimmed the edges. This is the first layer of filler... Keep in mind it was 25 degree's out. So my mud was thick as shit! I put it in front of the salamander for a bit, but it didn't help much:(1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
I got some more done this weekend. Between a sick baby and the weather I slipped in a couple hours of work. It really sucks doing FG in the cold! Things just don't work right.... So after learning a couple things from the other side, this panel went much more smoothly. I was able to bang it out in just a couple hours. On to the pics...The frame I had to modify it a bit to get the ring in this one. But I will be back filling it to make it strong once I'm done. The stretch.. Trimmed...1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
Mids and highs are really already done as you can see here... but I will probably be adding a couple 5 1/4's just behind the headrest area for some rear fill. I run an older Coustic XM5e crossover that has 3 way crossovers with the addition of a center channel and rear fill. I may also do some speakers in the amp area in the back. But that is yet to be decided.1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
So, I was able to finally get some more work done. It was a nice weekend(little chilly) but nothing that stopped me from getting things done! I started on the side panels that would house the inverted drivers. My original plan was to assemble the pieces as I would installing the drivers, top and bottom first than the sides. Well that didn't happen:sad5: I ended up having to modify the top and bottom pieces a bit. Instead of them going in first I had to shorten them so the would fit after. Then I had to mess with the sides. With the shape chose it makes it hard to fit them in directly. So I have to "fold" them into place, well with the angles its just wasn't happening. So I finally got it figured out and fitting properly, and was able to get it in an out fairly easy. So I set the shape I wanted and away I went. SO on to some pictures...You can see it had to be pushed back pretty far. Materials needed... Tools used.... And after 3 layers of chopped mat... Turned out nice and flat after rolling:thumbsup:1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
Alright....I wasn't able to get as much as I would have liked to get done. But I did make progress. The damn weather just doesn't know what it wants to do. Last weekend it was 20 degrees and snowing, so I couldn't work outside. And now this weekend its supposed to be 55 and sunny. WTF:angry5: So I plan to do this weekend what I couldn't do last week. Gonna get the frame-up done at home then take it to the shop and do the glassing so it can cure. Here is what most of my time has been going to lately. This little monster is getting into everything and just starting to walk. So I have to keep an eye on him every minute. Anyway, on to the pictures. Its not much but its something.... Tools of the trade. First passes...1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
Alright, I made some good progress this weekend! I was able to get a lot done on the Jeap as well as get my girls box almost ready for paint. It ended up being a nice weekend for doing everything, not to hot and not to cold so shit wouldn't set. Anyway, onto the pictures.... Rear wall bracing. The wall is from my first box I built in the Jeep a few years back. I cut verything down and have slowly used it piece by piece. So I guess you could call me a "GREEN Builder"! And my damn circular saw took a shit so I was forced to use my jig saw for these couple of cuts. I routed the back edges for no reason other than I could:nod: Rear wall in and attached. Bracing going on. Here is the basic shape finalized. Secured together tight! Each piece fits snug with no glue or fastener. Thats the key to a solid structure!1 point- 6 15" Obsidian's and 10k......the rebuild!
Alright guys, I know I did everyone dirty with the last pics so I decide to make up for it. I had to get the shell back in order and sealed up, so there wasn't much to see there other then dust. But I finally mae a little bit of visual progress. Its slow but hey....if JP can do it why can't I! lol But really here are some quick pics I snapped last night while I started mock up. Here is the back wall supports. There will be added cross bracing later on. Here is a "basic" idea of the shape that I'm going for. It will not look like this in the end mind you;) And what could this be for....? Thats it for now. I will continue to get some pictures as I progress.1 point- Install log on the SSA Mazda's
