you should have found us man. TeamRamrod got his van goin in full gear at the show. We metered him doin a 156.4-156.6 between 35-38hz on the windshield. It was awesome to say the least.

it was overly abnoxious.. His entire midshighs sounded as if they were being channeled through a megaphone. Then when the bass came on, it was no where near loud enough to keep up with the megaphone front stage. And with the cone area that's in there, that's no excuse. You want it done right, do it yourself. IF you don't know how to do it and refuse to learn or do not have time, take it to one of us who will actually educate those on what they should do rather than just take your money and experiment with loads of equipment firing in every direction possible.

Don't get me wrong I agree that I eat like shit and it is self caused. I know its a 'crutch' but lately I have had no desire to work out, or to really change (for health reasons) my diet. The elimination of fast food is a goal I have been working towards. I try and avoid it as much as possible but with the curveballs I have been dealing with lately (work mainly) have seriously been trying my patience and I got sick of booze as an 'answer' years ago and food has been that void. Do I 'look like' it? Not really. Do I look like an in shape guy tho? Not at fucking all. I guess my main goal is to find a way to enjoy seafood since the wife likes it so damn much, J You missed my point entirely. Your body will NEVER like seafood unless you change everything up. You've taught yourself that shit is good and that is what your body wants. Until you are beyond feeding it shit then it won't work. It doesn't take all that long. When I return from Asia local food tastes like unhealthy crap to me and I have a hard time grabbing anything on the run. My idea of run is different than most as well, but I get disgusted. You need to get your body to feel the same way otherwise your tongue/brain won't accept it.

I would imagine that a single Deka, no matter the size and a HO alt will not be enough to properly feed either amp, especially the 5500, when you start to push it to the max. If you're doing this build for a daily driver and listening to music all the time then you may be able to get by thanks to the dynamics of music, but if you plan on trying to do any competing with it then you'll need more to feed it with. For safety purposes you should have more even for a daily driver. This stuff is just too damn expensive to take any chances.

I loath firing people. But it feels good when you let go of someone who is bringing a team down. It hurts, but you have to cut out tumors, and you have to fire people who don't help the cause.

Underpowering isn't bad, as long as the signal is clean. The tendency of people to up the gain to make up for lack of power is where trouble comes in...

Struggled today for literally 2 hours to change a front sway-bar bushing on a Golf. Combine bad quality parts with german tolerances (and the fact that everything is cramped) and you end up with bruised knuckles and a lot of swearing.

I figured I would get the rest of the Second Skin put in and I found out that the battery is to wide to fit in the side panel without making modifications to the panels. That was not an option, so I made a box and mounted it on top of the wheel well and fastened to the box.

Fi is AA. Scott @ Fi used to be a owner of RE. That was sold and is now built in a factory over seas, so do not buy it... Scott OEM'd for other speaker companies including Crossfire, I believe SSA and some more. Great products. I'd recommend the Fi Q. It plays low, sounds good and really is a beefy subwoofer. Oh and the Ascendant Audio Chaos subwoofers are awesome, they can handle a lot of power. Check into the SSA line, GCON is has power handling and a 3" voice coil just like a Chaos btw.

RE isn't what it used to be, I'd go with one of the other brands.

Like you've had any piece of advice in this thread? All you've done is stated your deck doesn't get loud until 23, and "owned" Go troll elsewhere to get your post count up.

my settings are as followed: treb -4 mid -5 bass +2 bass boost lvl 1 and dont have a low setting. i dont use an eq on ipods. it still shuts off with bass boost off and with bass on 0. i was told this hu could eliminate speaker bass (inside of car i think its called high pass crossover but i dont know for sure) but it turns out my bass is connected to the sub as well and i didnt know that at the time Knock down that bass some and turn up the gain accordingly.

So much fail on this thread. OP - play with your settings, if it only happens at high volumes check your settings (high, low, mid). It could be as simple as that.
