    16v systems suck
  3. no one's trying to rain on your parade. but if you would have read all the rules, then you would've understood why you got the response you did.
  4. Amazed at how much of a shit hole our walmart is.
  5. Some pictures I took today.
  6. Yep, and of course a critical parameter would be how much box can you/are you willing to fit? Read the noob posting guidelines, it'll help. They are in my sig.
  7. Aaron, don't sell the Icon short. Depending on the box it could very easily be louder at all frequencies. If not, it would just be a rather narrow band where the L7 could have more output and it isn't such an audible amount. The L7 is SUPER box dependent so anyone generically recommending it needs to have their head checked.
  8. Older L7's I used or played with were not bad at all in larger sealed boxes. Not to mention, they were the driver for Crazy8's in SPL. But Sean is correct in that with more back ground and info, the forum can provide a more educated answer based upon that. Sure, I would love it if you bought one of our Icon's, I always have a soft spot for people who own an Icon because the Icon is what we made our brand name on. It's a very lovable sub woofer as it can do a great deal of things well, is pretty forgiving and can sound quite good. Now, is it the best choice for sheer uncompromising SPL? No, but yikes they can get loud to the ear, the 10" version is one of the better daily listening 10" sub woofers available. But, if our Icon is not what fits your needs, then that was a waste of money.
  9. Mark eldrige and Gary bigs both won numerous grand championships with kicker. The only way they sound like "poop" is due to user error.
  10. Netlix picked up the Carl Sagan series. Universe is the name I think. That is in the que for sure. I <3 that kind of physics. It's too bad there is so little money in being a physics nerd.
  11. i can only hope it'll be this easy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGmAmJFUvzM
  12. Chill you on that wacky tobaccy.
  13. Angel eyes gets the VJJ all moistened. Ladys love that blind bastid.
  14. Also to the dumb bitch I work with. I seriously cannot comprehend how you can fuck your workers in the ass, and get others to do it for you and still look at yourself in the mirror. J

yeah i know haha i have an audio pipe rated for 16v not sure how true to 16v it is but it says it. Why are you bringing up ap in the crescendo section?
  17. No problem man the icon will get very loud and low in a proper enclosure and i only have one right now im trying to figure out how to get 2 of these beast in a single cab pickup.
  18. Every joint in my pocket is bent.

    Crescendo doesn't make a 1500w amp.
  20. The jack was installed prior to me seeing the truck. It bolts in place. He has some larger wheels and wanted a better jack if he gets a flat.
  21. You don't clip a subwoofer, you clip an amplifier. Regardless, if you let out the magic smoke then yes you will need a recone. You can take a DMM to measure the coils to verify it's toast. However, I would HIGHLY suggest you figure out why you smoked it PRIOR TO re-installing that driver after it's fixed or another subwoofer. Because if you don't fix the problem, it's simply going to happen again. What amplifier do you have an what are your system settings (gain, bass boost, any settings in the HU that affect the subwoofer)?
  22. What a Weekend @ Slamology!!! IAK bringing home 8 trophies! Woot Woot. Im gonna check with my people at Gauge and have them double and triple check on how many people we had enter as Team IAK... I know I did
  23. Wow, this is getting serious! Man those subs look amazing
  24. ok so I tried the RCA grounding fix, and although I couldnt do it "right" and solder the PICO fuse internally, I did manage to ground each negative line of the RCAs externally to the radios chassis. WOW!!! It actually worked, and the only time I can hear any engine whine, is when the volume is all the way to 0, and there is barely any whine at that. And best of all, all my turn-on/off noises are gone, and it turns on and off just like normal. Thanks guys!! I love this site!
  25. Back seat people listen to the same stage as the front seat, it doesn't help to add speakers in the rear.
  26. Take the whole component budget and scrap the 6x9's. It'll sound WAY better.
  27. Awesome Aaron haha! Cant have a complete wagon without red dice. hey i ordered a little sticker and a window sticker today. cant wait to get them on! thanks a lot
