Order
3 pointsI agree it can be frustrating and its easy to become impatient. But with that said it is super busy right now with all the kids bombarding the place with Christmas money. Be thankful you have one of the owners here answering all your questions and you're not having to rely on email returns from FI. It would be different if you had ordered from some half ass company or some dude on ebay. Just sit back, dont worry and soon you will have some of the best audio equipment available.3 points

2 pointsIt looks like you didn't graduate school. Your run on sentences are a joy to read. I still do not know what you think the proper definition of a king cab is. There are a lot of different variations of what people think they are. You are not helping yourself with the attitude.2 points

2 pointsThere is a buildlog section where you can find the builds your looking for. Try swifts buildlog. 3 18s in a badass Ford crewcab. J.lftn did a build in a silverado with 2 18. There's plenty if you use the search feature at the top right of the screen. I will say to that the bad attitude needs to go away. You can't really expect people to repost there builds in your thread when they have already taken time to form a real buildlog.2 points

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
I've been a dealer for IA for over three years and I don't remember there every being a preorder on any product. However I could be wrong. Their number is located on their site give them a call and leave a detailed message. Also send an email to: [email protected] He is the owner and normally responds to emails in a few days. However CES is next week and most of them will be out of the office.2 points

What version SA-8 do you have ?
1 pointSo it is a bit confusing due to several updates along the way... so the above should help out when ordering a re-cone kit. We need to know what version you have to built the correct kit. Aside from the box printing being a bit mis-leading it's not super hard to understand using the above picture. The 60 unit run of "v.2" woofers (v1.75) was only sold to a few people who knew up front about what they were -- I just had the factory put v.2 on the box so we would know what they were as we unloaded the truck. But I am sure someone will get one of them second hand. They can be re-coned to standard v1.5 parts with copper coil and hard spider. As the photo indicates the baskets cannot be swapped around. This is due to a bolt pattern variation -- some savvy users have drilled their own patterns and that is fine as all version v1 through v1.75 have compatible motors -- there is only a slight gap variation across generations of those but not enough to make a significant difference when using them together. The actual v.2 model is COMPLETELY different. Someone would have to make custom adapters and/or drill and tap the top plate of an older motor to use the basket. I am not planning to offer this adapter.1 point

1 pointWow this is hilarious!! I can't believe the OP is acting like a d bag. If you would of added a few more sentences of detail stating what your goals, budget and equipment was you would of been helped by a lot of very smart people that have a shit ton of experience. Though you ruined your chances by being a smart ass. There's a reason you started the thread because YOU didn't know and needed help.1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
Nick has not said anything to us about pre-ordering the Wardens. We are the biggest and most visible IA dealer on the net, so it would make sense that we should be informed about this if they were.1 point

1 pointwhatever 18's you have now are not good enough for the setup you'd like... I personally would tune to 10hz since you're not happy with the 80hz you previously tuned your enclosure to. If anything I'd say that possibly you're having issue with the crank on your subs right now and that's why you're not happy with the setup. Got any pics of your current vehicle and setup so we can drool a bit?1 point

Order
1 pointThey are building for more then just one brand. And that 30-40 for the larger sub with a lot of machine work, would need to have had all that machine work done ahead of time. Also, there are not always 3 people building subs.1 point

What are some really good deep hitting 12s?
oh well hell, to be "hitting" would not be lows to me.... now how low are we talking... most people have no clue what true lows are.... most people hear 35hz and think dang thats low... but its not... not tooting my horn , but most people have never heard lows like i play, and when i say most, i mean people off the street... audiopiles know what im talking about... so the normal joe gets in my car, and it fucking mind blown because he cant breath cant see and his body is rippling,, but its not so much of an ear hurt like say 50 hz would be. and if your going for true lows on a budget, the SSA icon and the FI Q are great subs for that IMO. i have a set of Zcons now, but i normaly run sundown nightshade V2s with ZV3 spiders, and i get low.... but im tuned at 29 hrtz too in a trunk.1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
Honestly having a dealer in the middle does change the game. I understand that it sounds like you both have dealt with IA directly and both received the same story; no refund, no product changes. However, it's the dealers job to make this right with you, not IA's. The dealer will have to take his issues up with IA after he's satisfied you. This is the risk the dealer took when he decided to become a dealer....it's part of doing business. Sometimes he's going to have to take a loss to make a customer happy when he's getting screwed by one of his brands. I really don't think you have much recourse with IA directly, your issue is with the dealer. If you want a refund he needs to refund you. If you want a different product it's up to him to get it to you. It's shitty that IA is in the background potentially screwing him, but again that's his cost of doing business and a risk he decided to take by becoming a dealer.1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
No he won't, he will have legal course against the company. Taking payment and not providing goods within a reasonable amount of time is illegal. It doesn't matter whether the payment was non-refundable or not. That is illegal. Simple as that. Tell the dealer you want your money back or product. If he says no, then you take legal course. Then he can do likewise against IA. That simple.1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
might just be me, but i see this as a dealer issue. If that's where you gave your money then they would be responsible for refunding, you not the company.1 point

Then why did you post the exact opposite of this statement?1 point

Are the new Wardens ever going to be here?!?!
Something seems out of place here. Last I knew, Wardens were almost pulled off the back burner due to the cost of Neo. It seems very unlike Nick to pre-order. Also doesn't sound typical IA to not work with a customer at all, unless there was an all sales final clause. Only way I could see this being is if IA is using the pre-order funds to relaunch the model. But, that seems very unlikely for a company of this age and stature. Not saying you're wrong, something just seems out of whack here.1 point

Loudness
1 pointIt will sound good, but nothing you put in a small sealed enclosure and give 400 watts will be "loud". Really depends on what you feel is loud though, 130-135db will not be. Its like asking a woman if the average Joe is "strong" ....sure but compared to a Powerlifter he would be weak.1 point
