A sneak peek of my new box . It is being built by Dave Marin of High Output Enclosures. It will be bed lined with a red port perhaps. It will have 5.0 cu ft net ,and is tuned @33 hz . I have two options for power . I can continue using two p1000x1's both have birth sheets of 1500 watt's , or I can use a synergy wfo 3500; but it'll have to be run at .5 ohm since I have dual 2ohm xcon 12's . Should sound great either way .

Aaron has been working very hard on the development of these new EVIL1's, and one made it's way up to me in NY for photos. We are still undecided on the logo color, hence the two different renderings. What do you guys think?

So,.. new season is upon us. Only change we are going to make is amplifiers and wire. The ampere's all sold, and new crossfire 4ks where chosen. They do 18v, stable at .5, all that shit. The SHCA wire is getting removed, and XS power cable is gonna get tossed in. Scottie has helped a ton with bats and the wire. Team XS ftw... anyway,... lets get this moving, and good luck to all that compete. Go have fun. LOL, port adjustments lol. Great looking boards imho. The fit and finish is legit, and there is some heft to them. I dig the look, fit, and finish. Gut shot Trip power and ground for a 4k ? hmmmmmmm Thanks for looking. Progress on the door panels I have a buddy in NC that is fabricating my door panels. The quality of his work is top notch

Fi built the passive radiators I'm using in my Jimmy to match my XCON after getting Aaron and Marks blessing. I'm certain they could build some for you but it will definitely take a lot more time and probably cost more as well. If you can get the PSI's faster and for a reasonable price I would. I beat myself up trying to figure the weight needed to get the tuning I wanted as well. The problem was that I didn't have any known T/S or any data at all for the PR's to do any useful calculations. I ended up mounting them backwards and tuning them. The subwoofer cone movement works the same with PR's as it does with a standard ported enclosure. The sub moves the least amount at the tuning frequency. I added weight and adjusted until it was tuned ever so slightly lower than my target frequency. Then I used a little bit of silicone to help ensure the bolt wouldn't back out then mounted them correctly. They're still running great about 3 years later and the tuning frequency is still right where I had adjusted it to (30hz). I wish you were closer so I could demo it for you. I absolutely LOVE the way it sounds as does everyone I have given a demo to. I'm not certain that how I did it is perfectly correct but it worked fine for me.

The abstract answer is that there is no "normal" phase. ie, whatever combination sounds best amongst all the possible combinations is the one to use. Your crossover settings however are not phase coherent so the adjustments and listening has to be done more than once. ...which of course is exactly why crossovers are part of the install
