  1. I had a similar issue with my aftermarket alternator. Your belt squeal is caused from the smaller diameter aftermarket alternator pulley. The only way I was able to overcome this was with a 0.3" smaller OD diameter belt along with a better belt. The belt that I used was a Goodyear Gatorback. Another option is to use an idler pulley on the bottom bolt on your alternator mount. This will drastically increase belt wrap around the alternator pulley. I did this on a previous vehicle I had. Not a good pic of belt wrap but the difference was significant. I you use a larger pulley you might as well put your stock alternator back on.

  15. Per unit weight and $ for deadening sludge is pointless.
  16. I should have went further with my deadening plans, it will for sure get ccf and mlv over the sludge. I was thinking sludge because it can create a nice look in the wheel well while control panel resonance and vibration. CLD tiles is obviously the other option, still may go that route. Undecided at the moment.
  17. More progress: Amazing weeked here in Michigan. High 50s to low 60s all week. Tearing some of the interior out demoing previous owners lovely work: Old Alpine MRV under the rear seat Spray foam and cheap wooden boards screwed down into the trunk floor. Lovely. Bondo to fill holes?
