Hell i dont know i got it @ a Police auction where they sell off siezed propertiy, from drug raids,,, & well i know of Aphex from playing Bass Guitar, it is a rack mount for restoring signal loss... or correcting the sign wave... whatever... i could not pass up the thing as i bidd 5.oo dollars and won... i can time aline the Alpine 9887. i want a Killer Spl setup but when NOT doing SPL i like the sound to be as SQ as possable for an SPL ride... i have a boxx for Street bass 36Hz--- and other boxxs for SPL 54Hz

what ohm are you running that Massive at ??? i ran mine bridged @ 2.3ohm and it poped... if the coils are getting hot thats not a bad thing just turn the gain & bass Boost down

??? do you have a better solution ? i am still learning as iv only been doing this competition thing for almost 2yrs now. please explaine why bass boost is bad....

i guess i dont understand. can someone explaine it in such a way as an SPL nut can get it ? without the sarcassim ? i thought it was a nice setup ? i lisened to you before and my HU problem was resolved... i went with the Alpine 9887 cant remember if i thanked you or not:) but if not i can get it i just have never been involved to know what is required of an SQ system.

i was wanting to see how he had the mic possitioned so i can get a better idea of how the test was preformed...

Ummmm you did notice i said he did an SPL run for the fun of it... !!??!! i just posted it --- from what i understand the SQ gang cant stand anything over 130db... wow some of you guys are out for blood... ? this was NOT an SPL setup he did the run for FUN too see what his setup would maxx out at

what ever he had in the front stage was really expencive, and sounded really clean @ normal lissening levels... the only time it sounded bad was when he burrrrrrrrrrp the guy was real nice, let everyone sit in & lisen

he said it was an Sq setup !!! he had some B@d@ss eq under the seat and all kinds of killer door speakers all wicked installed.... i dident get pics of the rest sounded really clean till he did an SPL run for fun and the amps went into protection , over & over, not ment for burping...

That makes the most sense to me. I know every organization does it differently, but that seems like the best to me. pics please !!??!! i did give this a try Sunday @ the competition... got 147.3db with the mic on the passanger headrest and the drivers window opened 6" ??? i need to see how this test was done

i have to say that a 153.4db on a stock 12v setup is impressive...

there were some kids @ a few shows that were begging me to sell em and they made me an offer i could not refuse ! Pap subs Rock... i shut down the touch screens @ the McDonalds wile waiting in drive through line.... 1 sub / 32Hz / 3000watts / 2 weeks stright no problems...

i ran the sundown amps with the lowist voltage possable for a reason... wanted to test the amps to see if they were going to withstand all the Hype... compaired to last competition where i ran the Ia 40.1 with a Kenetik 2400 battery did a 154.6db this competition 2x sundown 1500d with 2x Batcap 800 and a stock charging system did 153.4db note changed from 55Hz down 3 too 52Hz with the temp & humiddity so i lost 1.2db going to the 12v setup i have 2 monster batterys that come in @ 14.97v @ rest ... i can cook em up too 19v yea i am impressed with the SD Amps and plan on getting bigger asap Bigg Props to Jacob... did i forget to mention that @ 0.4ohm strapped these never even got warm

i went into battle yesterday with 2x 1500d Sundown amps Strapped using 2x Batcap 800 near the amps 1x optima yellow up front. stock 130 amp alt... batterys at rest was 12.8v / with alt running 14.v when the amps hitt dropped to 13.6v gain was 1/2 --- bass boost 1/4 --- note was 52Hz ? down from last competitions 55Hz did a 151.5db 1st run 153.3db second run 153.4db last run ... now iv got to get my bigg batterys to quit leaking and i can really see what these bad boys will do with 14.97v now for a few pics more pics to come later... godda get to work now...

i got my 2x 1500ds and am allreaddy trying to figure out how im going to get 2x 3000ds

this would explain why my note changes with hotter temps: i am still learning... so i get if i keep the air conditioner on and cool off the truck befor a run i can incress my score im loving this forum
