  1. I’ve cut seat backs for IB and it made zero difference. I’ve also cut rear decks, PITA and it’s rarely ideal. Plus you lose the trunk lid torsion bar, which trust me you’ll miss. I’ve never used an IB manifold through the rear deck factory speaker opening. I think this would work well. Here is an example.
  2. I recently finished an install for my buddy with two DSS Ethos 12". The enclosure was less than 4 cubes tuned in the low 30's iirc. For output and sound quality the DSS Ethos are an excellent choice. Their low end extension playing rap is nasty. I know two 12" Ethos are over your budget. One 15" in a proper enclosure and good power will fit your needs for sure.
  3. Ugh.. every show this year (so far) is scheduled on a day I can not attend
  4. someday I will have this amp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. You dont have any electrical issues using that much power with a stock alternator?
  6. Excellent looking enclosure. I hate seeing nasty installs
  7. If only my car had a bigger alternator I would have one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I am interested in this pre sale. What is the difference between this amp and the SAZ-1500D? Which amp will require more power from the vehicle's electrical system?
  9. So does the isolator go between the alt and batteries or between the two batteries? But what you guys are saying is that I dont need an isolator at all? I will only be using the stereo when the car is on.
  10. Is this how an isolator should be wired with the batteries? http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/5005295/187198_Full.jpg
  11. He wont need a HO but should get a bigger alt though like one with an 150 amp output. Cause with both amp playing give or take he will be pulling a 125 amps alot of stress on both batteries. Why i say a least 150 is becasue you have to also include for the other electrical that the car use ie lights, etc When I was saying an HO alt I was just referring to an alt in the 130-150 amp range. I thought you had to have a battery isolator between batteries?
  12. I think you have to have a battery isolator between two batteries. I am concerned that the factory alt will not be able to charge two batteries.
  13. System I am planning to power. Sundown SAZ-1500D Sundown SAX-100.4D I have a 08 Hyundai Elantra and unfortunately I am hard time finding a reliable high output alternator. My vehicle has a factory 90 amp alternator. I am contacting Mr.Alternator to see what my options are. Any suggestions? I am thinking about using a Kinetik HC 1400 as the primary battery and a Kinetik HC 600 in the trunk near the amps. What size battery isolator should I use? Where should I put the battery isolator? What gauge wire should I use between batteries and isolator? BTW I plan on using all Stinger power wires, connectors and battery isolator. Thanks
  14. thanks for your input
