  1. stay away from cheap ebay wiring as its usaully undersized, stay away from the Copper Clad Aluminum also as it is an inferior. Otherwise the welding supply wire is definetly the most cost effective as your not paying for advertising of the "car audio wire" and its true gauge and pure copper.
  2. Twas a two BJ week!! what a way to start the new year.
  3. Thats the kind of present that I would love to find under the tree.
  4. Not yet, getting there though
  5. The Vicodin just wire me out, now the percocets make me loopy. Which I happened to of scored yesterday, time for breakfast of champions!! And I dont mean the book.
  6. Funn, Funn! I have a ton of mortors but my fucking neighbors call the cops everytime I lite em' off. Last time was last new years with a foot of snow on the ground.
  7. It either means that your 1/0 wire isn't tranfering the full current OR you have a poor ground at some point in the circuit. Do you have the big 3 done? what brand of 1/0 ga wire do you have?
  8. That chart is not accurate but conveys the point, thus why I wrote it was a chart I just grabbed off the internet. If the OP doesn't have a bigger alternator, then theres no point in more runs of wire. It doesn't matter that the amp is capable of drawing 400amps/4000watts, if the the current is not there to transfer from the front of the car.
  9. I haven't rode in a few years. The Apex looks like the new version of the RX1. A 4 stroke boat anchor.
  10. The amount of amprage that can pass through a wire is directly related to the gauge and lenght of the wire. Your 1/0 is capable between 150-200 amps depending on the brand, and based on the fact that you problably don't have over 17 ft run. You are also trying to use the extra current avilable from your front battery. Armed with this knowledge you know you are at the limits of the 1/0, but won't benifit from another run unless you get a bigger alternator. Here's a chart I grabbed off the internet to help you understand.
  11. Good to hear you survived. Happy new year!
  12. tis monday for me.... .......and I have a bottle of Crown Royal waiting at the end of it! Share??? Sure!
  13. If your trunk is relatively quiet and sealed from road noise then you should be fine rear firing. Otherwise take the trunk out of the equation.
  14. I have no problem renting a long track. Studs are extremely helpful on ice/hard shit. Hooks up better than ANY track. I've got a buddy with a 136 Yammie with >150hp and paddles and I kill him to 60. From there my ass is behind, but whatever where I ride that is what I want anyways. And I only have the lowly 600. Them Yammie triples got some wicked top end, everyone I ever rode was WAY to heavy for powder though. I rode an RX1000 when they came out and that thing was a boat anchor in powder. Even the Mountain max is heavy as shit. I am a fan of low and light weight. I haven't rode an IQ but have rode an RMK.

  17. tis monday for me....
  18. Straight from the 80's. This guy probably wears Supra shoe's that match the car too .lol
  19. I want to go ride my atv's in Utah this year, and they don't honor Colorado's registration.
  20. I forgot you have spikes, that shitz gotta be nutty on hard pack. You would definetly want atleast a 159 riding on the "trails" I would take you on.
  21. I'm not much for engine mods on most sleds, ruins the reliability. Powder track is a must.
  22. You ride Colorado powder, I ride ditches and trails. Huge difference. Plus all of our trails really go just from bar to next bar so it isn't so necessary...unless you overheat. Your making me feel sorry for you.LOL You NEED to come ride the Rockies.
  23. What sleds do you have again, Sean? Any mods? I remember you saying you only ride trails, no boondocking.
  24. I just pack the food/drink as tight as possible in the storage compartment, always worked for me.
