  1. Tire siping creates more Leading edge's on the tires treads, basicly like having ALOT of little treads.
  2. If I had a D or F on my report card growing up I was bringing home a weekly report sheet signed by every teacher, and WORKING at my dads business from afternoon until quitting time. I then had a school desk at home in the spare room that I had to sit at and study until bed time. May I ADD my dad works almost always 7 days a week and always has, I had to work atleast 50% of my free time as a kid ALSO Is how I developed work ethic. My Dad wasn't buying me SHIT. IF I brought home better grades the next quarter, I could have my 50% freetime back.
  3. Sadly, IMO it is the parent's fault. When I grew up I got my ass kicked for disobedience and for not doing my chores. Bad grades? Ass kicking and grounded forever. When I did poorly in school, I got an F not an "E" for needs more effort. When we failed a grade, we were held back. We were accountable for our actions. If we didn't do what we were supposed to we got stomped on. Nowadays I see my son's friends getting brand new cell phones and dirt bikes and stupid shit just because they brought that D up to a C. Kids are coddled today by society, but they are learning this at home. I still stomp my son if he doesn't do right. I take away the things that matter most, and I don't make a big deal out of a good grade. It is expected. If he gets a bad grade though, he knows he will get his ass kicked. That is called parenting. I agree with your whole rant other than I think a kid should be given attention for doing something good as well as bad. As far as how I was raised, I could of lived at your house and would of NEVER known the difference.
  4. Thats funny you put it that way, I just realized I am in love with the technical side of car audio. Thanks. Impious is a great guy to get tech advice from, that I know I can trust. Some days I feel like I am in kindergarten though. UPDATE: My wifey says I act like I am in kindergarten some days too.
  5. Bring on the build!!
  6. The problem with today's youth is they have no work ethics installed growing up. Not all the parents fault, but more the way our society is set up now-a-days.
  7. I Own my trailer I live in, all 5 of my cars and trucks I own, my pop-up camper, my ATVs and trailer are all payed for. This my friend is how I enjoy traveling. I am trying to buy a house, BUT thats a joke anymore. SO I live it and love it.
  8. I LOVE my SSA!!
  9. Fuck that. What happens when you die the day you retire?
  10. I can agree with all of this. I listen to music from the time I wake up until I go to bed. I Am ALSO A low voltage nutt and LOVE working on cars.
  11. Let me travel and build with my hands and I am happy.
  12. I think we will all be stuck soul searching for happiness until the day we die.

  14. Feel pretty good about the body, not sure about how the aftermarket body kit is goin to turn out. Most fiberglass stuff is so wavy No big wing, but lots O lights! I am sure you guys will get everything installed SO that its "good enough for the girls your son know's". back at ya.
  15. Yeah, I started posting here because I figured the 3 other SQ guys here needed a new playmate... well, and because Aaron asked nicely. Glad your here!! Thx for coming aboard.
  16. I am just about to pony up and get a new pair. I might resole but the sides are looking rough. I put my redwings through pure hell. Mine are about 8 years old? I wore them Hod-Carrying SO I was pretty happy with 5 years. what's hod carrying? Hod-carrier is term used for a Masons helper. A Hod is a tool that is used to carry bricks and mortor UP ladders. I never actually carried a Hod, I drove forklift instead. It was the hardest working job I ever had and is the reason I was 250 lbs by age 21, I was a MULE BABY.
  17. over 15 year difference isn't it? Things just keep getting better. But it doesn't have an ///M on it so boo to him. Just a mere imitation of the v10 greatness. Thank goodness my 97 ford has nearly the same skillz as the new ones! I think it looks better too. NOW I REALLY need to go test drive some of these beauty's. My wife says she will buy me a BM'er BUT I took a rain check until I start my mid-life crisis. ANYONE know what age I might start my midlife crisis????? I'm 28 and in wifey appeals court right now. I told her I need to leave my job start an organic help clothing line and coffee shop, realign my chakras with the earth mother, and buy a car with a bull or a horsey on it. How much have you got done? that sounds more like a change of life to me. I left my first wife 13 years ago, thank GOD.
  18. Everything looks good as usual!! The body work looks clean from what I can see. Nothing like a big wing with lights to set you apart from the crowd.

  21. These trucks came from the factory with a 4 inch lift, they where refered to as a HI-boy. The HI-boy was only offered in 3/4 ton and up, from '67 to 77'.
  22. Interestingly enough every one I know that currently owns those hates them in the snow. Now perhaps they went too wide so it looked cooler and it wasn't tall so it was floating. Not sure. I had a pair on a truck when I worked for the state(the state didn't spend that money but somehow they were on the fvkkin truck) and in everything else they worked great. In snow, it sucked big. A buddy of mine who plows tried them out too and he was dissapointed. I thought they would be great for snow but for some reason everyone I know has had issues with them and would rather be in a road tire or mild AT tire. These are very grippy tires and even took alittle getting use to on the dry pavement, BUT they DO stick to the road. Over grappy if anything. I have them on my Xterra Also, which has more weight in the rear than a truck SO THEY handle pretty good in my case. I am sure there is problably a better tire out there for the snow, BUT these are still worth every penny.
  23. Beautiful work as always Jacob.
  24. Sounds like my daughter and her friend this weekend. I guess its my job to teach her the respect.
