damn, 4 months for a recone is ridiculous.
  2. I went ahead and used that strap i linked. had to use 2 strips of MDF on the sides to keep it from moving and screwed the false floor under it to the floor of the vehicle, not goin anywhere
  3. nice garden box is lookin good too
  4. When i got my gen 2 BTL it was in a time they were back ordered or something, think i waited about a month. was well worth it
  5. I can donate a bunch of various wires also, probably not 5ft lengths but ill run through and snip off ~6 inches for comparison purposes. some 1/0 and several different 4gauge. PM me also.
  6. 1" MDF you should be good to go. Im sure if the n2 is anything like my generation 2 BTL it will make alot of pressure in that box. bracing is a good idea for it regardless of its weight.
  7. wouldn't hurt. sure if you braced it well inside the box you wouldn't have to double baffle it. If your using 1" MDF then dont think a double baffle is needed. But again.. wouldnt hurt.
  8. the install bay wire is sold at 1800woofers.com that i know of, wouldnt blame you if you didnt want to purchase from there though LOL. I got a bunch of wire layin around, i know i got some of the CCA from Knu in 1/0 and some of the older discontinued KLMX 1/0, have Knu's Flex 4ga & klmx 4ga. also have sound quest 4ga. and a small piece of some old school lightning audio 4ga (love that stuff!) I could possibly snip you off enough of each to be able to compare. no 5ft or nothing but enough to show what's what lol.
  9. first thing that came to my mind is the xcon.. maybe the Fi Q all well under $1000. what kind of vehicle?
  10. Im more interested in the uncommon brands myself. I know when i buy knu/stinger/welding wire's im good to go, its those other off the wall brands im curious about.
  11. Copied from Fi's website BTL 18 – Ported box we recommend using 5-8 cubic feet @ 30-35Hz tuning, you can tune a little higher if you wish but we recommend keeping it close to 32hz for a daily driver. Again the same 12-16 square inches of area applies per cubic foot of volume. Basically you should really understand how big the box is going to be before committing to it. Like i said not 100% familiar with the truck you have but rarely can an 18" be fit into an extended cab truck. If your sure you can do it then more power to you. Just really think about it. Would suck to buy everything just to find out you only have 4cubic feet back there to work with ported.
  12. ive always been curious about the cheaper wire's. Raptor and Install bay. So cheap it makes me wonder just how bad they are. Could be horrible? Could be something you can use when not running extremely high power?
  13. Well, i hope your about 5'1" tall or something cause i HIGHLY doubt your going to get the PROPER enclosure back there for an 18". Dont think ill be able to talk you out of it so good luck with your build.
  14. i was told that same thing, just dont want to do sub upwards unless i can come up with a good way to cover the sub. I park outside with no tint and no alarm.. just cant do that without somehow covering it
  15. This guy is a character internet tough guy.
  16. Or he's gonna OD and die
  17. yea, he's on a good one thats for sure. i say let him do his thing, he obviously can function on it, two and a half men was doin great. Just the media tearing into anyone's life they can. If he wants to bang 7 gram rocks then let him do it lol.
  18. Do you have the 4 door tacoma's? or just a extended cab? i was looking at pictures if you got a 4 door you could fit an 18, probably take up the majority of the back seats if you have the extended cab you might not be able to pull off that 18

lookin good.. didnt see the picture of your box before you posted the video lol. Ill be doing a box for mine next week so ive been tryin to check out each and ever option before i build it.
  20. tiny little things. are they strappable?
  21. Im not exactly familiar with the tacoma's, doesnt sound like you can be talked out of it but the box your going to need for an 18" BTL will be pretty large. I dont suggest just throwing that thing in anything you can fit it in. Enclosure will more than definitely be a huge part of your install.
  22. having the port firing right at the back of a seat was never a problem? Could just be my particular install. with the 15" i did i had it sub forward port forward and unless i had the passenger seat pushed all the way up i didnt like the way it sounded.
  23. Im going to be redoing my setup again here next week. Currently have sub forward port on driver side facing outwards. might do sub forward port up on this next one. current box this one has sounded the best yet, but i want to give port up a try and yet again another sub. sa-12 this time. possibly 2 later on.
  24. Nice, those audiopipe's aint bad at all! for such a cheap price they put out.
