  2. the stetsom amps have 2 ohm versions i think, might want to look into those.
  3. isnt that expected having 2 21"s? lol i just got 1 18" and its loosening up shit everywhere.

happened to me with the BTL lol. from now on i buy ALL intended subs at once, no more buy one now and possibly buy another later. buy em all at once lol.
  5. this will be great, such a knowledgeable guy here. were very lucky.
  6. dont think steve makes the subs lol, and that doesnt represent ascendant what so ever lol. just funny, more specifically his acting. nothing against the guy at all
  7. 7-10 days before its even shipped, you will need patience going this route. but it pays off very well in the end. they hand build these subs to your order. it could be several weeks till you get your product, maybe less? but again.. MORE than worth it!
  8. yea, build it yourself, i did a box just a few weeks ago for a 15" fi Q, spent about $75 between wood/glue/screws/caulking. add a little extra for how your going to finish the box (carpet, paint...) should be under your $130 budget for sure. Get in touch with bromo for a design, he will help you out with a cut sheet. just remember.. measure twice and cut once. my box was far from perfect, but it works. Also feels great when you do it yourself.
  9. this thread turned to crap real fast :-/
  10. i dont think thats the case, supposed to be better. im not sure of the details, i heard they gave it a little less motor force. If i had the money to go buy 2 more i would buy those in a heartbeat. cant really go wrong with Fi if you ask me.
  11. they upgraded the design and no longer build the older style ones. just the company moving forward. I asked once and I was told they would not make any of the old ones anymore. If you want a brand new btl these days you go with the new neo design. Sucks a little bit. I bought my BTL and what seemed like a few months they were discontinued. If you keep an eye on craigslist and ebay you can find them sometimes ,people just charge up the ass for them.
  12. only used Fi doesnt sell them anymore unfortunately
  13. BL's will be louder than the Q's. as far as box i would use what Fi recommends.
  14. your video pushed me to do it lol. bought 2 for the hell of it. probably a waste of money but i have an old ass zapco 25 x 2 amp (ive seen it push 12"s) lol, just something to play with, keeps me from throwin hundreds into big subs/speakers lol.
  15. i almost bought some of those daytons just to buy em, dont really have a use for em but there cheap and i like the way they look lol. nice video, subscribed.
  16. Possibly your box. Have you checked it out to see if there could be any issues that would cause slapping as you referred to it? Forgot to add. The sub makes this noise when its in or out of the box. box must not be the problem (unless its breaking your speakers). try a different amp and see if that fixes the problem, if not you may have a broken sub and might wanna keep digging to see what's causing it. just my 2 cents. good luck.
  17. agree with the majority.. SOLD button would be great, i too dig thru the f/s section daily, but m5 is right, not a ton of stuff goin on in there to split it all up.
  18. the box i built which went into a 1998 Extended cab s10 was only 12.25" depth.. seat still doesnt go back to where im comfortable, i also have no tilt wheel. here is a pic of my install. if i had went with a 12" woofer and put it more towards the bottom vs a 15" it wouldnt have been so bad, but for some dumb reason i placed the sub on the driver side and when the seat is all the way back its ok, but i didnt account for my weight in the seat pushing it back even farther.
  19. i dont think you want a Fi Q. Sounds like you want the BL instead. re think your speaker choice. and welcome
  20. smashedz28 replied to pmureika's topic in Test 1, 2, 3...
*note to self* .. dont sell to dogman
  21. on the woofersetc picture it looks like the wires go in thru the top.. i like it!, too bad i dont have en extra $1400 layin around, or anything that can take 10k lol.
  22. 3.37 cu ft tuned @ 33.21, bromo did the design for me 1" dowel bracing (2) front to back and (2) side to side.. no top to bottom bracing, i got lazy lol. not gonna be doing another box till i get my hands on another speaker. Fi Q is a good speaker but its not what im looking for. real clean and solid, hits low also. Trying to get my hands on a BL 15 and see how that works in this box, i would build another box for that sub, but not this one. here's a quick vid also, camera sucks ass.
  23. had some time today to take a few pics..couple of weeks later but ill post em up anyway lol.
