  21. Actually, I'm going to be one of the few with this opinion on this event... Very few things truly blew me away and impressed me. I really liked the B&W's I heard, the McIntosh line arrays, and the Cain and Cain room, and those are the only ones that I actually really liked. Everything else sounded good, don't get me wrong, just not all that much truly impressed me. I figured out more of what I need to do for starting to manufacture/sell speakers and for them actually to sell. I was expecting to see lots of designs I'd never seen or thought about before, I didn't see any. I also didn't see a lot of designs I have thought up and drawn out, so I think I've got an ability to market new stuff design wise when I get time to build them. There was very little woodwork that I was truly impressed with too, also, I was disappointed in the fact that I figured out how every single speaker was made basically and the techniques used to make it. I wanted something that I would have to stand there, look at, scratch my head and then ask how they made it. One of these days I am going to have a room there, and use all normal and average price cables rather than having 10k in cables hooking everything up. McIntosh had normal cabling hooking everything thing up and I smiled when I saw that rather than the oddball high end bull chit cables. I want good speakers, an old beat up QSC rack amp, decent cables (nothing exotic), and see what people think. *Hiding the amps/cables/everything* Also, I wish people would stop putting blue LED's in stuff, I can't read crap if its in blue LED's, also, it looks cool but its annoying when 1" acrylic equipment racks are lit up using blue LED's. One also has to realize though, I went there with a different viewpoint on what I wanted to get out of it compared to everyone else there. I went there to talk to firms and possibilities of getting internships and what not, see what people who are actually selling are doing, what price ranges are, what design aspects are getting them to sell and what not. I really enjoyed going to it, I learned quite a bit of stuff and would like to go back next year.
  22. My favorite room I saw, was by far the Cain & Cain room. Simply amazing. The guys there were pretty kickass too, started talking to them and asked what I built, I mentioned my BIB's, and instantly asked, those aren't the BBBIB build off of DIY audio is it?????? Yep. I probably spent close to an hour talking speaker construction with them, it was pretty kickass.
  23. So yea, I'm back.
  24. LOL
