  1. Welcome. Good to see another Kansan here.
  2. Yeah, I'll be buying online. I've found quite a few refurbs, but I didn't know if it was safe to buy them or not. I've looked at the iPhone but didn't know if I should go that route or not. I've read lots of people trashing the iPhone, but I've also read lots of people that like them.
  3. After doing some more looking around, it looks like AT&T is going to be my best bet (at least in this area). I'm really liking the Motorola Backflip, but there's a few others that I like also. It's kind of like subs. Can't decide and keep flip flopping back and forth.

Interesting. Never seen that before. ^^^This.
  5. Yeah, I need to do this, but I need bass more. The factory speakers are pretty good sounding, but a little harsh. Still, they will hold me over until I can do more research so I can install some new ones properly. I might even try my hand at building some kick panels.
  6. You gonna sell your SA-12's?
  7. LOL is your spoiler functional? It adds deebeez. Just messing with ya. Looks nice. I love that box.
  8. I agree with this. But, like everyone else, I'm always wanting something new. I'd really like to try something from a company I've never used before, like Sundown, IA, SSA, etc. But, yes, the Shiva is probably one of my top 3 favorite subs ever. I'd like to try it ported, but if I remember correctly it takes a very large ported box.
  9. I thought it was in my signature, but I guess I forgot to put it there. Anywho, I've got a 2008 Saturn Vue. As stated, I'm using the factory HU and door speakers, but these speakers will eventually be replaced. I have an MTX RFL600D for my sub amp and an Adire Audio Shiva. The box is pretty solid for prefab. It's one of the nicer ones I've seen.
  10. I plan on getting some new equipment in July (happy birthday to me ) but I'm having some trouble deciding what I want to do first. I plan on changing everything that's currently installed, except for probably my HU, so this is going to be a slow project (lack of funds, FTL). I honestly have no idea what I want to do. The only thing I know is that I want to keep the sub enclosure small (around 1 cube) and power on the lower side, but I still want it to get decently loud. Budget will be between $250 and $300. A few scenarios I've come up with are: 1) A Sundown SAX 125.2. I'd run my Shiva off it for now, and later on get a Sundown SA-8 and custom ported box. 2) An IA Lethal Injection and custom sealed box (I had planned on a 10", but I see they aren't available at this time on the SSA store, so I'd go with a 12".) I'd upgrade my amp later on. 3) A Sundown SA-12 and run it in my current prefab box (1.21 cubes sealed). I'd upgrade my amp later for this too. I'll be replacing my factory speakers at some point, but they sound pretty good (to me), so they aren't a priority right now. Do any of those sound like a good plan, or does anyone else have any other suggestions? I'm open to anything.
  11. Can you contact your ISP and see if they will reset your IP address? If they switch it and it works, then SMD banned your ip for some reason. I'll try that. Every time I contacted them I used chat, and they told me that it was a problem that couldn't be resolved in chat and that i needed to call their technical support. I communicate better through chat/forums than on a phone, and it wasn't that big of a deal, so I never called. Guess I may have to.
  12. I did a hard reset and tried running directly to the modem a few weeks ago, but neither worked. For some reason I can't get it off the clipboard. I'm kind of a compter Edit: Still can't get it to work on my wife's laptop. I'm almost through dealing with it and just saying screw it.
  13. I reset my router right after this happened the first time but it didn't help. I was able to access the site just now through a proxy server. I've got a malware scan on my computer, but I'm not sure how good it is. I'll try this one. I'll try this right now. Edit: I did this, but can't figure out how to post the results. I tried to copy and paste, but it wouldn't let me.
  14. It's SMD. I don't think I would have been banned for anything, as I don't really post much there. It's not that important, I'm just trying to read all I can so I can learn more.
  15. I'm wondering if someone has any idea why a website would just stop working for me? Here's what's happened. A little over a month ago I was on a website and for some reason the pages stopped loading. I kept getting a message that said the internet could not connect to the website. I thought maybe the site was having problems, but after a week it still wouldn't work. Started checking with people and found out that the site was not down. I had about a half a dozen different communications with my ISP and they had no answer for why it wasn't working for me. I tried clearing out my cookies, deleting my browsing history, etc. I even went so far as to reinstall my OS. None of that worked. I tried three different browsers and none of them worked. I also tried my wife's laptop, but that didn't work either. About a week ago, out of the blue, this site starts working for me again. This lasted about three or four days, then the same thing started happening. Any idea what the problem could be? I don't understand why it would just start working then stop again.

I agree. I just wish I had the money to buy stuff.
  17. Thanks. I've had the HD2 recommended to be by a few other people.
  18. I got a chance to play around with a few phones today. I really like the touch screen. It seemed a lot easier for me to navigate as opposed to a keyboard.
  19. Thanks. I just got done reading about minutes vs data. So far it looks like T-Mobile might have the better deals, but I'm not going to jump into anything right away. Right now T-Mobile has a web special going on that looks about perfect, but I'll do a little more research first: Unsupported Browser For me this is more of a perk than a requirement. It would be neat to have though.
  20. Thanks for the help so far. I live in a small town and we recently (finally) got a tower in town. Coverage was horrible before that. I do know that AT@T is on the tower, but I'm not sure who else is. Right now I have a Tracfone and get full strength everywhere in town. Do the minutes on phone plans count towards internet surfing? I'm not too concerned about the minutes for talking because we don't really make that many phone calls. Years ago we had Cingular and were actually losing minutes because we had so many rollover minutes built up. The most use would probably be internet, as I'd use it every day on break while I'm at work. I've read a lot of good things about the Andriod. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to do some shopping and get to play around with a few phones. Edit: I work for Wal-Mart Distribution and I just found out that I can get discounts from all the major providers.
  21. My wife and I are looking at getting a couple of smartphones. I've never really done any research on them, so I'm looking for some advice on good phones and service providers. I don't need anything fancy in a phone. Basically something that I can use for phone calls and internet. A few things that would be nice are GPS and a camera, but they aren't a necessity. Anything specific I should be looking for or looking to avoid in a phone or phone plan?
  22. Damnit, if only it was July. I'm looking at picking up the SAZ-1000D for my birthday.
