  1. I'll send you an invite, I just need your email. It may seem useless at first but the more people that you invite and actually use it, the better it becomes.
  2. Yeah, it took me three tries to get calc II as well. I passed calc III on the first try.
  3. I know on my headunit, I had to turn my RCA outputs on before they would send a signal. It was just a setting in one of the menus.
  4. I'd be having a few drinks now but I have to study, Fail. Plus I have an instrumentation & measurement lab in the morning along with a heat transfer lecture in the afternoon. School first. You will have plenty of time to drink later Learning is fun. Learning is fun, I quite enjoy my studies.

  6. As the title says, I have like 22 invitations for google wave. If anyone wants one, just let me know. If you don't know what google wave is, it's kind of like email, instant messaging, and a forum wrapped into one. One really cool thing about it is, is that you can actually watch someone responding to a message because it constantly streams updates. It's still in the beta phase and takes a little getting used to but I found that once you get it, it ends up becoming a very useful tool.
  7. A 12" version would be sick, I'd be interested in that.
  8. Nice, rum is always good. Rum tends to flow like water at my house. That will happen. What do you think of my take on Meade from a few posts ago? The subs are built be some of the best builders in the business. I do not let myself get caught up in others flaunts. Cool.
  9. x2, i'm already thinking about a new amp and subs. I think I might have one, when you have to explain to non-car audio people that car audio people don't really care about the kind of car you have just as long as you have a system. I constantly get criticized for putting a system in my car (a 98 Taurus).

  12. Nice, I constantly pepper Jacob with questions and he answers them in timely manner without fail. I always recommend sundown to anyone looking for good quality car audio.
  13. Do you work at a haunted house? You could say that. www.spookhaven.com Cool, my boss used to work at one doing set design. Apparently they made the New York Giants literally piss themselves one year. Many people lose control of their body functions when they go through our Haunt Sometimes it makes cleaning up the mess worth it. Yeah, especially if you got it on tape And I don't know why anyone would be a meade nut hugger. I mean I respect him cause he does have a big system and he does do nice work but he certainly isn't the king of car audio and definitely isn't the loudest ever. I think those new subs of his are just a big waste of time, lots of hype, like the jackhammer. He also seems to be a really nice guy, i think if he hadn't flaunted his system the way he does that people wouldn't would care so much.
  14. So according to JL's article, I actually have to add 2 inches to the physical port length not remove 2 inches. Or do online calculators compensate for this? I've been using this one. PORT Size Calculations and Formulas for WOOFER and Subwoofer BOXES

  17. Would it be possible to post up the fitment guide with the BCI group numbers?
  18. Dude you are lucky, I would take econ homework over differential equations or heat transfer home work any day of the week. true, true. but it's Advanced Placement Economics I know how that is, it's not easy; especially in high school.

  20. That article cleared up a lot of things for me, thanks.
  21. I have, not sure if I'm going to compete this year. I want to build a ported enclosure first. And since I have a summer semester coming up in which I have to do my senior design project, I'm not sure if I'll have time. Gonna have to play it by ear. i see, but even if you don't get around to building it you should still go check some out, they're a good time. question; would you ever pay someone to build a box for you? If I have the spare time, I'm definitely going to check out some shows. If they have a show again in one of the parking lots of my school, I will definitely go. I have thought about paying for an enclosure but I have all the tools to build my own. Though I wouldn't mind some company while I build it good to hear. but check out this guy's work Home Page he's from new hampshire and goes to every NESPL event. but damn does he do nice work. and for a great price. if i take the easy way out next time i need a box. he's going to build it. so just incase you want to do that too you have somewhere to look I have looked at his work and it IS damn good. All depends on my cash flow and how much time I have. cause I love building things.
  22. It's 41.3 using a calculator, if that makes any difference. I'll upload a picture later when I get out of class. Differential Equations 5-7 FTL.
  23. So should I cut 4" total off the port itself?

  25. So if a port is 4" wide, the port actually sees an extra 4" outside the box and 4" inside the box? I've got a basic design for a box that is 3.5 cubes net with a 4" wide x 14.5" tall for for 58 in^2 of port area with about 41.3" long for a tuning of 30 Hz. BTW, I don't mean to thread jack.
