  1. Ascendent Audio Chaos, rated for 800 rms but I gave mine 1500 daily with no problems. Just don't use the bass boost as stated and be easy on the gains. In a 2.8^3 box tuned @ 30Hz it hit 143.7 sealed up legal on the dash on a 40Hz tone off my AP15001D and it was still very musical as well, Bass race 139.9 class on music with ease. Tank of a sub.
  2. Wow, when I scrolled down and seen that beauty it literally took my breath away. That is definately the best looking enclosure I have ever seen. Top notch. BTW, with that white paint in the box, I say black light ftw. Would react off the white paint and look great thru the plexi at night.
  3. Maybe I am misunderstanding the question, but you should never run your amp "full tilt". The gain on your amp is to match up your amp's output with the output voltage on your head unit. Do this with a dmm, o-scope, or atleast by ear using audible distortion as a stopping point , then backing down a little. If your asking can the fully loaded BTL take 3K daily, then the answer depends on you. Do you know how to look for signs of stress in your system? Smell coils getting hot, hear the sub bottoming out or unloading. Alot of subs can take more than rated rms if the power is CLEAN. Keep it clean and pay attention and you should have no trouble. BTW, nice choice on the gear. GLWB!
  4. Bracing would be a better idea than deadner imo. If you can, put some a dowel rods in there for support. But honestly I don't really see it being that big of a deal.
  5. Thanks for the info Jacob! This works right into my plans as I have only ~2.5^3 after displacements and am really interested in using 4 of these bad boys in my next setup. Now all I have to do is wait on the funds, lol. Come on income tax !
  6. Wow, great to see a company coming straight out of home sweet home . Lived in Tampa my whole life and I wouldn't have it any other way. Wish you the best of luck in your new venture. Maybe oneday some of your products will find their way into my ride .

Lookin great man! I just took a serious look at the SA line for the first time like 2 days ago. I am really diggin those beastly 8's. Just might have to order me 4 to run off my AP15001D.
  8. You guys are my heros, lol. Adjustable wall socket power ftmfw!
  9. It's over dude. Someone won already.
  10. Sweet, never heard of the amps or 12's. Have to check them out. Nice work.
  11. Looks great bro. Check out my rats nest, lol . <---------------------------------
  12. I use a remote gain att. I have 3 kids and when they're in the car I like to just have a little tiny thump for a full sound, then when it's Daddy time I run between 1/2 and 3/4, and on demos I can run it up full tilt. Very covenient little thing to have as long as it is a true gain att and not a bass boost knob.
  13. Looks great bro! Nice box build. Love single sub setups. Just much more impressive to me to see someone gettin loud with 1 sub. Bout 6 months I will be rebuilding, goal is 145 out of the trunk with a single 12. I think it is realistic. We shall see.
  14. PURE SEX! I LOVE KERFED PORTS! Solid ass box. Beautiful craftmanship right there.
  15. Just got the back story on Thilo and TC Sounds, not really something I want to get involved with. Lil to shady sounding to me. I think the Xcon is gonna be the best choice for what I want. Was just keeping an open mind to other possibilities.
  16. The new tc subs are prety sweet, they have also come down in price considering the axis 15 used to go for close to $700 now it think they are in the $500 range Yeah $450 shipped at partsexpress. I am really diggin this sub. I hear the old school ones where pretty bad ass. I really like the fact that the recone comes with the whole top assembly. Its like a step up on Kicker's SPAIR technology. No having to pay someone to do a recone.
  17. Was planning a SSA XCON 15D2 for income tax, but just stumbled upon this Brand new designs Unleash your music with room to spare with the Axis 15Q1 15" subwoofer. The AXIS is designed with high motor force, long excursion and very high power handling to provide loud deep bass in the mobile environment, or any environment where small enclosure size and ultra-high SPL are required. The AXIS has a 40+ pound motor, flat-wound 8-layer conductor voice coil on a triple reinforced stainless steel former; it works harder so you don't have to give up half your car to a large subwoofer box. Specifications: • Power handling: 1,000 watts RMS/4,000 watts peak • Le: 9 mH • Impedance: 1.2 ohms per coil x 4 • Re: 4.83 ohms • Frequency range: 15 - 150 Hz • Fs: 23.0 Hz • SPL: 87.5 dB • Vas: 4.51 cu. ft. • Qms: 6.70 • Qes: 0.42 • Qts: 0.39 • Xmax: 26.5 • Dimensions: Overall diameter 15.60", Cutout diameter 14.02", Depth 9.28" • Weight: 53.2 lbs. Note: All specifications are with voice coils connected in series. High-temperature low eddy-current stainless steel voicecoil former Quad 1.2 ohm voicecoil using 8-layer flatwound Aluminum wire Extra-tall gap for higher BL and additional power-handling 10" linear spider suspension with large integral lead-wires 225 oz. magnet motor structure Patent-pending XBR tall profile surround for 3" peak-to-peak travel Field-replaceable top assembly system Single dish aircraft-grade Aluminum alloy cone Very high BL for efficient low-frequency performance and small enclosure designs I really like the idea of it being specifically designed for a small enclosure. Would be run off my AP15001D at 1 ohm (quad 1 ohm, 2 coils wired up to 2, 4 coils wired down to 1) in a iamamp3pimp box (of course) tuned low ~30. What do yall think?
  18. Wow, I am smitten. Where have you been all my life, lol. Excellent idea and choice of sub. That is exactly what these subs do, get low, yet still be loud, and sound good doing it. I think you already have one happy husband, but he will be down right ecstatic when he opens this birthday present.
  19. Sounds like a plan. Thanks guys.
  20. Yes, I definately still want to get loud. I was leanin towards the Xcon, but the Q setup would be way cheaper, lol. The Q is ~$100 less itself and I already have the AP15001D, so I wouldn't have to buy the AP18001D. Ok, next question. Would there be an audible difference with the Xcon 15 between the AP15001D and the AP18001D?
  21. Either one will be in ~2.8^3 after displacements tune to 30-32Hz. Q 15D2 would be run with an AP15001D. Xcon 15D2 would be run by an AP18001D. This will be a daily ground pounder setup that I might throw in a bass race when a show comes town. Looking to be musical, get low, and still be loud. Electrical will be a 140 amp ho alt, red top up front, 100ah in trunk. Which choice do you think would better suit my wants? Thanks.
  22. Lookin great man. Glad you are gettin the kinks worked out. There might be a meter session goin down in Wesley Chapel on the 21st of this month. Still in the development stage right now, but if it pans out I will shoot you a PM and we can get this beast on a TL FTW! Should check out my new budget build I just finished. Pretty happy for the $500 I got into it.
  23. If this where facebook, it would say PHATBOi Likes!
  24. ANY amp can put out dirty power, lol. Just because it's labeled Sundown, Incriminator, or Audique doesn't automatically deem it clean power. As was stated earlier with the sub, an amp is a dumb thing and it will do exactly what you tell it too. You can get clean power just fine out of a lower priced amp (as I have with my Audiopipes) if you know how to properly set your gains and such. Not trying to be a dick here, just don't want the OP thinking just because he has a Sundown amp he doesn't have to worry about clipping the shit out of his sub and blowing it or that if he uses a HiFonics amp his sub will blow as soon as he hooks it up beause they only put out dirty power.
