It's my cousins he has a walmart brand headunit. It is a Dual XR4110. How do the Y splitters work.

I'm going to install two amps one is mono and the other is a 4 channel for my mids and highs. I already have the power, ground, and rem wire, but the only thing is how can i get two rca's if my headunit only has one connection?

What kinda options do you have? Read the Noob guidelines then comeback with more info? But too answer your question some people have the hooked up to sundown SAE 1200D amps or even the SAZ 1500D

Well the only thing i noticed is that when he is turning up his system the EQ is all the way up at the Sub level the epicenter is off in english songs but the amp remote gain is there but he barely turns it up and it is super loud and my brother has the same amp and the same gain but no EQ and for my bro to achieve the power my cousin is doing my bro turns it up 3/4 and there same subs in about same enclosure. But the subs don't distort. But he did say when he would cruise the subs will sometimes smell burnt that is a bad thing right? BTW if i do change the parts would that change in sound be good?

Well this thread is a little old but we did do something we built a 2.5 cubes box tuned to 33hz but used the RE calculator but for some reason it would kill the lows but not sound good like at the 50-60hz so we put a pillow to make the box "smaller" for a higher tuning and guess what it sounds perfect. But the question is well an Fi SSD sound louder than the Type R

just wanted to know if audiocontrol made good EQ because he has an EQ and the epicenter but it has enough bass just with the EQ. BTW he got some Kicker CVX's do you think the same will happen are the Fi SSD better than the CVX. The good thing is that i got one of the 12's for 100 off of him and gonna recone with the the fi one. Do you think there would be a difference in sound.

Don't the XXX comps give you enough midbass or you want more

These subs will do good sealed. And that amp you have is just right. 1.5 cubes is good enough.

I think your better off going with the RE's they have more excursion and can handle 200wrms fine.

Good Because there should be budget subs for all the beginners....I think that is the reason people go mainstream because all brands from here don't have budget subs well some of them... But it would sell alot because not many people like alot of bass,others might just like a little...
