Sundown SA-10 Box Help
Good job moving it here, but it looks like shizzzon caught it before the move... He's like some kinda bloodhound who can smell even the thought of wood glue and MDF...

sa-10 box help
How does it see such a long port? I figured a 20" port was a 20" port... Gosh I must be tuned super low...

sa-10 box help
It'd be nice to get this moved to the fabrication section. More box-builder types would notice it. And how do you mean you can't figure out the cutouts?

Custom re-building 15" T3 TSS
My parts won't fit the T3 10" frame... but I can probably drill out another frame to work... same for the 12" Still $250 then? I might be interested in a 12... Do you have the T/S parameters?

Sundown 3500 match up
Nevermind. Two 15" Nightshades are pricier than 4 SA-12s

Sundown 3500 match up
Going in the back of a 2001 blazer so I got room I just never have been a big fan of 15's for some reason I have always used 12's on ever build that I have done.So you think the 2 15's would be louder than the 4 12's.Thats what I am looking for is what will give me the most output from what I will be using The four twelves will still push more air, but there is no reason why properly installed 15s couldn't be louder. Again, it is all in the install. I think the two 15s are cheaper though.

Sundown 3500 match up
Very loud street beater. Depending on what vehicle this is going in, I would go with the 4 SA-12s because they'll push more air. However, if they are going to be cramped in your vehicle, remeber that 2 12s in a properly sized enclosure will be louder than 4 12s in itsy bitsy way too small enclosures. It's all in the install, but you probably know that cause I've seen on your build logs that you are an installer... So yeah, what vehicle is this going in?

Sae 1200 on stock alternator?
yes sir I do have the big 3( 2nd sentence of my 1st post). Yea my rd 1000.1 at 1 ohm runs great off my electrical. I just didn't know if 1500 watts or capability to draw 150 amps of current would be pushing it. Sorry, didn't see it...

Sae 1200 on stock alternator?
Just because I did not see you say this anywhere, you have the Big 3 done, correct? I have stock alt and batt in my car and I am running my SAZ-1000D at 1 ohm with no problems, (alt is only 85 amps!). Just checking...

The seatbelt ground still has me a bit skeptical. It's much cheaper to try a new ground. Just give it a shot before you spend the money. Please forgive my skepticism of your skepticism, but I grounded to a clean piece of metal that is a direct connection to the chassis, and my old amp worked just fine. The only variable in my whole setup was my amp, so it just seems logical to me that the amp is the "problem." Please do not misunderstand me when I say this, because I love my new sundown. However, because it is the only thing that changed in my setup, I am inclined to believe it is the issue. I think I will try a new ground if I can find another suitable one near the amp, but an interesting point came up in an email I sent Jacob asking him why this might be happening. He pointed out that my sundown's turn-off is delayed and my other amp could have an immediate turn off. From my experience with my old amp, I would say this is the case: The power light went out when I turned my HU off, and with my sundown there is a short delay after the HU goes off and then a pop. However, I have not given up on a new ground yet: expect to hear from me on this soon.

I own a BL and I'm still trying to figure out how to say the name right... lol Doesn't really matter, cause if you are using your subs for their intended purpose, ya can't read the logo anyway! lol

I did not think it was the grounds, but I had to check... I know you know what you are talking about duran... So I had a conversation with Mr. Jacob himself. As I did not move my grounds at all and they were fine for the other amp, he sided ulrisa: get a pop filter. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens. Thanks everyone for the input.

amp/ohms/power question
The sub will see 1000 watts. I don't think that each coil sees 500; I believe the sub sees 1000 as a whole. Either way, 1000 watts rms is what you will have should you wire it to 1 ohm.

Will check amp ground first, didn't touch HU during install... Check 'em both I will... Yoda time!
