external ports?
I hear tell of extendable areo ports, but I have no idea how well they work. Check Parts-Express, unless someone on here can tell you more about them.

Which of these would possably get louder off s SAZ 1500D
Also, if your goal is loud, (and I'm sure you've heard this), ported is the way to go.

Pick one of the two 12s setups. "There is no replacement for displacement."

4 Fi Audio IB3 18's walled off 15Hz tune in a VAN BUILD LOG
This build log has really got my attention, and I think you are doing a great job from what I can see, but the problem is I can't see much! It may be just me, but there are like three pages of "bandwith exceeded" photobucket warning things. Either way, good luck, and I hope I can at least see the finished pics....

Check my calcs.
Internal dimensions: 15" d 34" w 10" h Port: 10" h 3" w 30" l Sub displacement .1 cuft Subs up, port sideways 2.1cuft after sub and port displacement Leaving .1 for 45s, so 2 cubes net Tuning guesstimate: 33-34 Hz Side note: I would like to figure out how to calculate neccesary port area by the parameters of the sub, not by the 12-16 square inches per cuft rule, might use areos if someone has a suggestion.

Fuse Holders... Voltage Drop?
But are we looking at 14.5 volts instead of 14.4 or is it likely to see a large jump? That is the question... Whether it is nobler to face the slings and arrows of a single large fuse or to... oh never mind. lol

Fuse Holders... Voltage Drop?
I'm about to grab up a normal ANL fuse holder from Knu when I notice they have this "high current" fuse holder that uses multiple mini ANL fuses instead of one big honker like the normal one, (not the mini). They say it will have "lower voltage drop across the fused surface area" as well as handling higher currents. Is there any validity to this statement? Has anyone had any experiece with one of these to know if it really has any great affect on voltage drop? I'm just curious...

Running .67
Well, on a side note, I guess I will be running 1 ohm, as money is tighter than anticipated and 2 SA-8s are all that the budget allows right now. Thanks again everyone for the help, I hope this thread is useful to other people as well.

suggestion on a new amp
im planning on getting a new h/o alt and 2 new batt within the nexxt month...money is sort of been tight in the past month and a half.... Well if money is tight, then it would be more wise to purchase the alt and batts first instead of an amp that will tax your electrical even more.
