  1. As the title read's need some Ideas on fixing things that are getting damaged but fixing them in way the the problem wont return. Part I am interested in finding a permanent repair for.
  2. Its all good, at first I was like spam? but then I realized what Denim was talking about and removed the links. As you can see I am a Rockford person and have been since the mid 80's. I am thinking I am going to run some of the Rival 15's when they come out. One because I have had the chance to hear them, two because he is a local owner and I would like to support a local business. Also I have been using my T40001bd at 2ohms forever and by switching I would be able to use the full potential of the amp at 1ohm.

He is getting the same reading on his dmm at the secondary battery as he is getting at the volt meter.
  4. Nice little build there. The carpeting looks real nice.
  5. Thank you Everybody that has done car audio has failed at one point or another whether they want to admit it or not,I am no different. I try to take criticism and make my build better in my own time and just enjoy what I have done weather it be right or wrong. I still have a lot I want to do to this ride but then a build is never done right
  6. I know the whole process of doing it. I have read a lot and watch many videos on it but I kind of want to get new door panels to modify and keep my originals. I don't want to alter my original panels.

Which battery? When I was talking about the secondary battery I messed up and didn't actually film where it was grounded. But with the starting battery, it is grounded to the frame, and I have the engine block connected to the negative terminal on the battery as opposed to the chassis. And what do you mean cab to frame? Big 3 1. Battery + to Alt fused at the rating of the wire. 2. Ground Alt to frame 3. Ground Battery to Frame I never seen a ground wire from Starting battery to Secondary battery. But if you ground both batteries to the frame you should be alright. Probably easier to run a ground wire from one battery to the other as opposed to running two wires to the frame. As long as one of the batteries is grounded to the frame that is.
  8. The best part about or I use to always take my vehicle when we went somewhere. Now have a system in her vehicle it does not matter what we take because I am going to have some beat.
  9. It will sound great at 36hz. What vehicle is it going in?
  10. Do you think OJ was completely innocent as well? Just like OJ.. "If the glove dont fit you must acquit" I wonder if there will be a civil trial and she is found guilty
  11. you will love the Jasper, man it made life a lot easier Cant wait to see this build done.. looking good. I love the headliner it came out real nice.
  12. Thats how my wife and I met 21years ago because of my car audio so she has always loved it too. Ill have to remind her not to set the eggs on top Back then I had two Rockford punch 150HD's on two Power 12's and a Rockford Power 300 on 2 set of tweets, A midbass and two midrange in each door and 4x10 in the rear deck of my 78 olds cutlass with leopard skin interior.
  13. I have not got around to doing that yet. Would have if I would of sold my other stuff but I hooked my wife up with a system in her ride too. I am wanting to do some custom doors with fiberglass with a nice Midbass, Midrange and tweeter. It will be done eventually and I definitely need to because the bass will totally drowned out my current speakers unless I turn the sum output down to about 22 out of 30 on the head unit.
  14. Subs are in and playing. Check my youtube link I have a video of it. I would post it but I am on mobile.
  15. Thank you, took me a while to track down the other 2 old school 15's then I had to recone one of them before I could put them all in. But I am happy with it
  16. Thank You Dont know when I will get it metered again since it is a grocery getter. I might take it to a local unsanctioned event but for the sanctioned events I will take my Mountaineer.
  17. 60oz damn how much did that cost? I did not use the same type. Mine was just ca glue and you spray activator on it before you clamp the parts on to it. You must be using epoxy. I thought it was 50/50 but like I said I have never used that kind. Someone with more experience then me will answer.
  18. My wife loves it, I dont have any pictures yet but I recently put in a couple old school Power RFR2212 12" sub's and put it on a T1000bd amp. Lot more punch now should be in the 143 range or better.
  19. The first run was a 140.0db with the vehicle sealed up and mic on the dash. After my first run the rain poured down for about 25-30 minutes then it got real hot and humid that's why the scores went down from there I suspect. Not to bad for two 12's on 500 watt amp, I was using a 40amp fuse to drop me into S1 class still took third place Winner was a 141.5 and second was a 141.4
  20. Got the Rockford Fosgate 8 disc cd changer mounted under the passenger side front seat. Back view of the box with the back hatch open. Couple views of the Box from the inside with the hatch closed. Now the amps and fusing mounted onto the box view with seats down. Still need to put the chrome covers back on And a few views of the subs from under the box.. I used 2x2's around the edges to get enough gap so the subs are not pounding on the floor. I will try and get some video of it all in operation soon.. but my initial thought was that It could probably do a 139-140 on the meter. I was really impressed on how the box sounded in the Equinox, it was a lot more then I was anticipating.
  21. Here is a few picture of the Rockford Fosgate Radio Installed. I really thought that it looked good in the dash and I am happy with the integration kit that I used to mount the radio.
  22. Now first thing I did was to get my power and ground wires ran from the battery back. I had to move all the stuff out of the way to get access to the battery. I used a distribution block for the Power wire and used the factory connector for the ground. For your comparison.. The (Bullz Audio wire is the black wire) (f3 Street 0 gauge is the blue wire) (Knukoncepts 1/0 is the red wire) I got the Blue and Black wire through the factory grommet took a little lube though .
  23. The box was designed to be inverted so that my wife can still use the cargo area to haul stuff with out damaging any of the equipment. I wanted to use the entire cargo area but keep the box slim. I used Bass Box Pro 6 to design the box. Box Details
  24. Well my wife decided she wanted some beat in her ride so I just got done with everything and figured I would create a build log for everyone to check out. The goal for this build was to keep the vehicle functional as if it were stock and still be able to use the cargo area to haul stuff. 2008 Chevy Equinox Some images of it Stock Stock Radio Back of vehicle Stock Audio gear and Parts being used LAN Data Bus Interface GM Onstar GMOS-LAN-01 F3 Street 0 Gauge amp package Bullz Audio 1/0 wire Antenna adapter Assorted Mini Anl Fuses with led's Ground Distribution Block Power Distribution Block with Voltage guage Rockford Fosgate RFX9300 Rockford Fosgate P500-2 Rockford Fosgate 400.4 not actual amp I am using but Picture for refrence..
