  1. i like it good work!
  2. 90 bucks ? Damn... ebay is way cheaper. Just look around. How much truck space do you have? Why did you go with an 18 when it can't fit in your truck. At least you can remove the back seat and fasten the box to the floor. This way it won't look so ghetto. 1/0/2/4 Gauge Ga ANL Fuse Holder Free Fuse and Shipping - eBay (item 200433296036 end time Feb-27-10 05:47:29 PST) lol thats the same one i got
  3. can you not buy from ebay? a digital readout one is not even 90 bucks you should find plenty of holders there for under 20 bucks some even under 10
  4. its rated at about 1600 watts at 2 ohms and i think this is also at a 12.5 V rating so you should have more then plenty power for 4 sa 12
  5. im gona have to agree i personally would not put a sub box on the back seat like that unless i was going to take the back seats out and modify all of it for a box . put if you like it there then good for you it is your car and system after all another thing i would spend money on some fuse holders , i like the fact that you were creative on making them, but i would not have something that draws so mush current through it out in the open i found some fuse holders for like 7 bucks for 1/0 gauge
  6. yeah with that HU you should be able to run a set of 4-channel RCA's to your speaker amp and a 2-channel RCA set to your sub amp
  7. good idea with the heater being on . if it works, it works!! so far so good , looking forward to more updates.
  8. what brand and model is your HU?
  9. well that amp can handle up to a 1ohm load so anything under that could damage it also this amp is 600 rms at 1 , 2 , 4 ohms so really any way you wire your subs to match the 1,2,4 ohms loads would work maybe you might need a better amp that has more power and can push that sub better thats a big handle-ing sub
  10. you said on your other post that you love the current alpine you have, and the way it sounds so why not stay with alpine ,and pick the double din alpine if you sell your other deck you can have some money for your new double din
  11. this is one build log i cant wait to see thats gona be so loud !!!
  12. actually your kole amp really is more like 770 rms at best , and it can only go down to 2 ohms. the saz 1500 can do more like 2000, and it can go down to 1 ohm. if you can afford it i would personally go with the saz 1500 mush better amp if ya ask me besides if you ever want to upgrade you would all ready have the amp for it . just got to make sure your electrical is up to par.
  13. true but also its the closes thing to it that i have seen but if someone comes across an actual box program for mac then im ears
  14. the program Bearlokey13 gave me works great
  15. thanks man! i do have ox and im loading it right now.
  16. still hope-ing for anyone with some info like i have said before all the programs i have found so far are only for windows and not a mac anyone have anything for a mac?
  17. well personally if you have the money i would go with the alpine double din HU reason for it is i personally love alpine HU's ( i have the 9885 model one and i love it as well ) and by going with alpine double din you will have all the same functions you have now and mush more
  18. u might wana try it backwards . what i mean is , your batt. light is kinda like a factory volt meter for your car . so if you checked your batts and they are all good , check your light from the start.. check to see if the circuit for the light is fully connected and working properly. see if any wires were missed being connected when the new alt. was installed .
  19. i personally would just sell the alpine you have now and get a double did screen alpine to me it would look a lot cleaner on top of that, to me it would be a waist of money (even if its cheap) to add another HU just for the back up camera ones again, this is just my opinion on what i would do, its al up to you.
  20. mm, I found a group buy for the Deka 9a31, it has ended but I'll try and see if it's possible to get 3 of those. Price was only $85 per battery.... Man what a great price. were did you find this at ? me and one of my buddies are wanting some batts and that would be an awsome price
  21. this is all a lot of good info. its good to know. learn something new everyday
  22. it would be awsome if jacob comes out with some mids and highs !! i would love to set all the equipment to nothing but sundown audio! maybe some day !
  23. No. Tuning frequency depends on net box volume, port area, and port length. The sub doesn't matter at all except for its physical displacement, but most of the time if you just guess it's close enough to not matter. oh ok well thanks for the clarification
  24. just wondering , but wouldn't you also need to know what size of speakers , and the specs of the sub to be able to tune it correctly ?
  25. actually i take that back , because that is a class AB amp its more like at 60% efficiency and at best its really going to be around 780 watts at 14.4 V bridged at 1 ohm in there at the store and specs they show you that at 1 ohm bridged it will do 1,080 watts but they are measuring it at 83% efficiency witch AB amps are rarely if ever that efficient
