I saw a similar 250 amp alt for my car on mechman, but its cost is only $400. MechMan.com - 250 Amp Alternator (10511363-00) Is there a reason for the large price difference? I'm thinking of getting this 270 amp alt from mechman: MechMan.com - 270 Amp Alternator (30511161-00) The cost of the 250 and 270 amp are the same so I'm just going to go with the 270 amp one. What are your thoughts or opinions?

This is just the beginning of my collection: 2 JL W3v3-2s, 2 Elemental Designs Di midranges (Don't know their exact specs, if anyone could help me out that'd be nice), MBQ Amp (getting an Orion 1000.1 to properly power the JLs) For lulz: My car is in the shop getting the transmission cooling lines replaced, otherwise I'd be running my 0ga wire through my car right now.

If you really think you need a carbon fiber spoiler, then get one. The amount that the CF will flex depends on the thickness of it. Anything over 4-5mm pretty much doesn't flex at all. Usually a CF wing is mounted with aluminum struts connecting it to the car.

When it says these come in D2 and D4 voice coils, does that mean that they'll come in either 2ohm DVC and 4ohm DVC flavors?

Hey guys, I just signed on to the forum. I'm relatively new to the world of car audio. I own a '95 GMC Jimmy and have plenty of room in the back. But I'm going to college soon so I don' exactly have a lot of cash to spend on audio equipment. Luckily I found out about Sundown Audio on another forum I frequent. I hope to get one or two of the new SA-8 subs when they come out next month, or maybe on or two of the old E-8s. I'm also enrolled in a woods class at my high school so I was gonna make a few sub boxes as projects in that class. If anyone has any tips on building a vented box please PM me.
