  4. Can't wait until Saturday. BEEEEEER
  5. I saw one today was busy and couldn't look to much so I can't form an opinion...
  6. That's one situation. But I want to emphasize that you would first need an amp that can work at such low impedances. Going way below 0.5 ohms needs a lot of current from the amp's power supply and 90% of amp power supplies that I've seen faint / drop like a stone when you ask for big power at low loads, even 1 ohm.
  7. Third world war was supposed to begin today in the Black Sea, according to a local newspaper. No war, bummer At least 2012 is an option...
  8. Basically don't bother buying one unless you have something more useful to use it for. X2. I've used mine mostly to measure power supplies, oscillators and drivers.
  9. Cooling won't have such a big influence in competitions, especially if you want to drive really low loads for VERY short periods. As long as the power supply can supply the current and the rectifying bridge can handle the load it's ok. Most of the times that's where things go wrong.
  10. From my testing I have noticed that an increase in port area will show in score at high power. For instance...with 1000w, going from 8 inch port to 10 inch port showed no increase. At full power, ~3500w, the bigger port showed a healthy gain. This was in my install, with one 12 inch subwoofer.
  11. Life, what is that ?
  12. How in the world did they film me without me knowing...
  13. Not exactly, even if you take that into consideration, strand count only matters for flexibility, and welding cable is still just as flexable. the electrons flow OVER the wire, so the more wire there is to flow over, the more energy that will be transferee faster. WRONG information there. Skin effect only shows on AC and you would need to isolate the strands to benefit. Check out some penetration examples: On wires used in DC applications strand count matters for flexibility. Do you install and uninstall the wire 3-4 times / day ? I can tie a knot with welding wire. I've subjected the insulation to ridiculous heat. The car-audio insulation started to melt, while the welding wire insulation was still ok. Any logical reason to buy car audio wire ?
  14. Yay for more oven space !
  15. Typical for Korean class D's if you REALLY get them into clipping. It is usually accompanied with noise from the low-pass coils.
  16. Grundle Also known as taint
  17. Seems like power is covered, cool.
  18. You never told us what electrical system you have to power the amp
  19. Yo, mah subz knock real madd

  21. You can get high xmax coils if you bought it originally with short coils. Just make sure to order the right impedance. Dual 2 coils will only fit subs with the Universal option or subs which were built Dual 2.
  22. X2 on all of that. The manufacturer doesn't recommend 2000w just because they woke up one morning with that number. Can it withstand 4000w ? Sure. Can you blow it quick with that much power ? Sure. It all depends on the application and the person behind the knobs. Stick to the recommendation.
  23. Just back from a live concert..for a first experience it was cool
  24. I thought I was the only one who hates DST. 5:30PM, it's pitch black....yay...
  25. I remember reading part of the topic... Did he finish it ?
