Re-thinking the home system
Turns out they were crossed at 2k They're crossed at 4k right now. Parts for L-pad's (2db, 3db, 4db cut) are on my desk waiting to wire them up. EDIT : I've opened the gains of the sub amp and with a measly 500w I measured it on the TL...for shits and giggles. 127.4dB on the desk

Important Kinetik Battery info for those with problems
Great to hear so that is 2 of us using the Missing Link Audio "voltage controller WITH NO PROBLEMS !!! AMAZING is it possible that the battery's were BAD or DEFECTIVE causing the failure ??? just want to ask do you drive a Ford or GM ? I believe the discussion was about charing Kinetik's with >14.3v. my reply was that its not the voltage controllers fault that the battery's are inferior Each battery has it's optimum operation conditions. I would probably blame the user before blaming the quality of the battery.

Welcome to the IHoP
Yesterday I had the pleasure of listening to this car : HU : 880 PRS Front stage : Brax Matrix (2-way, 6.5 inch midbass + 1 inch tweeter) Amp : Brax Graphic Edition 4ch Sub : JL 10w6v2 Amp : Helix A1 Unfortunately I was a bit dissapointed I know it is meant to sound extremely good, but the highest level of listening very very low. If the passenger whispers something, he's covering the music Almost all the cars competing in the SQ part of the show had Brax Matrix speakers in the front. BOOOOOOOOORING. What a bunch of snobs.

D1 vs D2 and series vs parallel wiring
As far as I know, coils in series vs coils in parallel doesn't make a big diffrence.

LSQ Build
Because sound quality implies far more things than just a substage. And since the substage plays such a small portion of the sound, lots more things are more important

9.5 is working ok for me, except for the fact that today it has not been showing correctly new posts on vB forums In the main forum I can see the last post info (let's say someone posted 2 minutes ago), but when I enter the specific subforum it looks like nothing has happened for a few hours. Clearing the cookies hasn't made a diffrence.

Welcome to the IHoP
I hate retards that want to fuck up my for sale ads. Why the fuck can't they shut up if they don't like the price ? Fucking newbs start spewing chit about amp powers and they are fucking clueless when it comes to amps Arguments like "it's not on ampguts, so it's a piece of crap. that's where the real power is listed"

Nice job on them. And the box. I'm not fond of curving ply. Tried it once but it broke, so I switched to mdf.

Another which amp thread :D
So the IA40.1 doesnt make 4,000 rms?? I might end up buyin the MM4000.1D off a friend for cheap. But yeah, the fosgate's pricing isnt an issue, I work for a local audio store that carries fosgate, and the IA was already at a decent price from what I've seen prev. Has IA come out with(or in the future comming out with) a new one to match or beat the 40.1? I haven't read much lately on IA and i am just bein lazy now Thanks for the info! 40.1. It's a no-brainer. It definately makes 4kw. And more It's the same amp as the American Bass 500.1 and ignoring a couple small diffrences, it's the same as the Atomic 5000.1

Welcome to the IHoP
Only thing I miss from the 9.02 is the navigation between tabs. 1 and 2 buttons were the previous and next tab functions. Can't find where to set them on 9.5

Recommend components under $200
I would go active with : Seas ER18RNX http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8181 or the CA18RNX plus : http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1466. A bit over budget but I think it's worth it It would be nice to check and see how much mounting space you have available

Damping Factor/Slew Rate/Muddy Sound Question
The BPx is just like a regular class D amplifier. High-current servo is just a part of the marketing plan
