  1. I agree Anton, USACI shows are a blast ... they help in any way possible.
  2. I told you in your song thread that you needed to put you vehicle on a term lab and experiment and find the cabin peak frequiency. thats why I just suggested to run in spl class instead of street beat. try too hard and overexert your system and you've wasted alot of money. go to the shows and watch ... not many new people compete in street beat.
  3. honestly, you might want to stick to test tones ... sorry ... then again, well try and see ...
  4. the object is not to make you car rattle, thats why people dynamat ... your objective is to let the meter read the best signal possible.
  5. the term lab runs for 30 seconds, you play your music, blow your horn, game starts. If the music drops off by mistake, chances are it will hold your lowest score if you are not careful. Thats why for a beginner I suggest notes in music that stays steady for a longer period of time. But, you live and learn. good luck.
  6. I'm only giving suggestions ... But from past experience ... best of luck to ya.
  7. the note has to last for 30 seconds, the problem with rap is the notes go up and down, up and down, etc. not good for street beat. Try pink floyd - the divistion bell, delicate sound of thunder, or Dark Side of the Moon. find a note to last (you will know it when you find it) it should be around 40 hertz.
  8. copyright laws, hidden test tones etc, Its competition ... there are rules sir ... Do you have any Pink Floyd ??
  9. what type of music you listen to ??
  10. You qualify for Street Beat 2 according to USACI. Best of luck to ya sir !! The thread you had that got very heated earlier, This is real important: You need a CD that plays your VEHICLE PEAK FREQUENCY !! That note needs to be very strong for 30 seconds. what is your box tuned to ??
  11. you might be in street beat 2 ... 1 15 - 8 points per vehicle. need more description of your vehicle.
  12. Not sure if the ISO-kits and Trisoberics go back into production. We are all talking about old drivers. Please keep a check on the blues site to be sure. Thanks ...
  13. that was cool Denim, I saved that one.
  14. Trial and error ... live, build, break, and learn ... facts of life, not just in car audio ...
  15. WOW !!! awesome work ... I shure hope your planning a SQ system for that awesome ride. not some ground pounder to shake it all apart. again, nice attention to detail ..
  16. front bat(+) .. fuse ........................... fuse ..(+)rear bat(+) .. fuse .. distribution blk .. fuse ..(+)amp. front bat(-) .. ground (frame)(body) 2 separate wires / rear bat(-) .. ground(frame)(body)(amp)- 3 separate wires. well ... that didn't turn out like I wanted.
  17. I think the most important fuse is the one from the front battery within 18 inches going to the back battery. My reason is: What do you think would happen if the frame or body rubbed a hole in the cable between batteries ?? You have a charging lead headed towards the rear of your vehicle with no fuse to stop anything from shorting out your charging system. This is what a USACI judge told me at a competition at last years Scrapin the Coast, Biloxi,MS. I think the two fuses you really need is one within 18 inches leaving front battery and one within 18 inches comming to the rear battery. The amps you have got their own fuses correct ?? just a suggestion sir ... hope this helps ... thanks.
  18. Is the port facing the back doors or the front of the truck/suv ?? Clean box build by the way ...
  19. Yea, I think Ray has a couple of factory Trisoberic Boxes left. I wish I could get one or two for my home theatre system ... We tried them out when we were building my truck, they sounded amazing!!! My truck was running out of battery power too fast. I wanted the trisos in my truck, but the ISO-kits just "looked cooler" to me. 6APPEAL, I think the double triso box needs to come out of retirement(along with the Grand National)!!
  20. very clean work ...
  21. clean work ...
  22. you can look on the internet and find the old IASCA test cds, FOCAL reference disc, SHEFFIELD LABS, USACI test and tune disc. Disc like these will give you all the range any stereo can handle. (SQ and SPL) My Favorite is the Focal Reference disc, not cheap, but then again, worth it !!! If you really want to test your system to its limits, get you a VERY GOOD recorded pipe organ music disc. You will locate all your problems in a matter of minutes. Just a suggestion, Hope this helps ...
