  1. X01 ?? Did you mean a X02, X03, or the X04 ?? The X01 was the first generation crossover ... and if I'm not mistaken, one of the very first active crossovers ever built ... Not even worth my time ... Considering it's just your opinion
  2. I'm lost ... Do you drive a S10 truck or Blazer/Jimmy ??? Edit: ok, POS phone finally let me view your pic. I stand corrected and by my above post ...
  3. If it was mine, I'd keep it below the window line ... Try and keep it small and simple with like 4 12s with somewhere around a 40 htz tuning with adequate amp and electrical and you should be fine for a starter ground pounder system ... Subs back / ports back Like Drew said ... The equipment is going to make up just as much of the weight anyways ...
  4. pictures of your truck would be nice to kind of see the quality of your suspension ... Is it one of those 2 door blazers or 4 door ???
  5. A very well thought out enclosure build ...
  6. I will meet you at the biggest show / event of the year in 3 weeks to discuss this in front of the best Sound Quality vehicles in the world ... That being IASCA, MECA, and USACI ... ... But it does no good to discuss it here on SSA
  7. He had SSA for a short time (only the end of one season IIRC). He quickly switched to Sundown. He had the title with the Z.3's and now with the Z.4's.Hmmm ... Ok, thanks
  8. I thought this truck had SSA drivers in it ... Or was it a truck similar I demo'd at 2012 SBN ???
  9. Welcome ... Awesome Vid
  10. I've seen custom dash covers work wonders with reflections along with precision placement ... Also ... Your Stage and image should be up and out on your hood AND beyond your outside mirrors (stage depth and width) ... Correct ??? I've seen (in competition) people with midranges and tweeters in the kick pannels (with tons of processing) get their stage and image in the areas of up and on the dash, but never out on the hood and beyond the outside mirrors where they should be ... then again, just my observation here demoing different vehicles ...

    Welcome
  12. Thanks man !!! I will be glad when all of this is done so I can actually get started in the Air Ride ...
  13. I just got enough points to enter World Finals ...
  14. For the most part ... Yes, the notch is done. And no, we have no plans to "lay frame" or anything ... It's not going to be one of those Air Ride vehicles that can do up, down, side to side, or any of those tricks ... I just want to sit VERY low at shows and events, ride low and have a smooth cruize, and still be able to use the vehicle as a normal everyday truck with benefits ...
  15. Great Review ... I'd like to see one (or a few) of these things in action
  16. Can't complain about this weekend's events ... Went good !!! Work on the truck went good ... Rides ALOT better. Also ... Aquired enough points at MECA Ms. State Finals to move on to Unified World Finals in Huntsville, Al in October !!! Also !!! Got some new toys for the truck !!!
  17. Yea, it takes a while for that sstuuf to actuall cure ... I do not have them in mine ... Alot of people run them, and alot of people do not ... I would assume that the larger the enclosure that is built, the more sence it would make to use them ... then again Sir ... just my suggestion here
  18. Welcome to SSA I take it that you are planning to have a "full snug" camper shell or at least a "quarter cab" camper shell for this application ... If so and you are talking about a ported and tuned wall with 8 12s ... I say carry on brother !!! Tune that bad boy around 40 htz and beat the block down ... just make sure you have the electrical and battery power to run everything safely ... As for Subs ... Mark or Aaron would be my best guess to answer all of your questions on this ... best of luck Sir !!!
  19. No Sir, It will not be necessary ... Please sand all of your surfaces clean and smooth and you should be just fine ...
  20. Cool ... Yea, I go into work Sunday night / Monday morning too (the ole 3rd shift) ...
  21. If you make the drive Sunday, will you be in this car ?? I'd like to chat with you about stage and image ...
  22. Nice !!! My enclosure is in the same ballpark ... Can't wait to get my demo !!!
