I don't believe that battery is sealed, so if you use it inside the cabin, it'll vent out poisonous gases... I'm reading from this: http://www.duralastparts.com/gold.php?page=batteries ^Is that the same battery?

With my subwoofer level set to zero, the bass blends in very well with the front stage, tight as ever, metallica, tool, is just epic, punches to the stomach Playing material with heavy bass like rap or dubstep, subwoofer level turned up, I can see my windshield flex a little, my steering wheel shakes, brake & gas pedals bouncing back against my feet, my hair on the back of my neck standing up. With each xcon only receiving 500watts... Tough choice, good luck

Xcon = better sq, less output. nightshade = lesser sq, more output. Although as long as the enclosure is well designed and made, the nightshade will still perform musically. And enclosure will also play a huge part for output as well. At least that's my opinion.

Somewhat rudimentary you can just use the formula Pi(r^2). example: 10" subwoofer, radius is 5", 5^2 = 25", Pi(25) = ~78.53in^2 Or you could look in the T/S specs and look for sd (effective cone area) lol. I didn't see any way to interpret your question differently, but at the same time I was surprised if someone didn't know how to find the area of a circle.

I never got a chance to drive a v70, but I'm happy with the v40. Just need some stiffer springs. I just need to finish me left door panel and start the other side but it's too damn hot right now Yeah we all get use to it and want more. Flex doesn't necessarily indicate a system is loud. It comes down to build quality. Ideally you don't want any flex. In Stefan's case the Volvo is a pretty well built car so it is pretty impressive Very true. In all honesty I would love to have zero flex, but I haven't found any somewhat simple fixes for everything I pulled out my whole headliner in hopes of being able to run steel strips across, but the roof is two panels spaced apart and welded together, so there's no way for me to get to the outer flexing panel. And the moonroof area is also double pieces for the glass to slide back on... My rear hatch is as tight as I can make it. I'm actually pretty happy that my doors don't flex around the edges, although I have found a few more v40s that have been able to flex their door panels like paper. Which gives me the idea that their much louder and I need a different box design or something I gotta ask are you a graphic designer or something? The plastic housing / panel broke where they screw down. I removed the headliner and figured I could pull it out and put some resin and glue and fix it. Well the wires going into it don't unplug, so far now I just taped it I gotta look around the car and find the broken plastic and try piecing it all back together once the weather cools down. Thanks man, I don't know what car you have but I'm sure you can get a lot more flex. Right now each of my xcons is going 500watts at most I've seen and heard plenty of vehicles with less cone area then me and tons more flex. I thought he had both zcons running when he did the metering, and then later on he blew the one and was only using a single zcon. Oh and reading from the build log he said the meter was on the windshield. So 2 18s doing 157s at 27hz at windshield = very impressive, and if I'm mistaken and he did it with a single 18" then that's even more impressive.

I would love to see a legal measurement. How about getting this vehicle into a comp. The build log, eh. Why aren't there any pics of the enclosure installed? Not hating on this. That number is ridiculous for a single 18". Shit it's a single 18" in an enclosure built for two 18"(correct me if I am wrong). Metered in the port? I believe all the metering was done with both 18s. and the meter was either on the headrest or windshield, not port.
