They'll take a fair amount more then 1200 if done right, and I'm not talking about just burps.
  2. Just a guesstimate, doesn't take cabin characteristics into effect.
  3. I don't think going from 3.75cubes to 4cubes is going to be a big improvement. Raising tuning will give more output on the higher spectrum, it may be what your looking for, but I don't want to say "go ahead and do it cause it will" because I don't know, and I don't want to lead you into building a new box and not being happy with it. Do you have any good friends that would let you swap drivers just for some testing? I can go way big, I can go like ten feet if I need. And no, I don't really know anyone with systems. If I go like to five feet maybe and tune to 34 will I lose lower output? Just trying to understand how this works somewhat. 5cubes will lower power handling, how much? Not sure. What are the dc drivers rated at for 1.5cubes?
  4. Audiopipe has some 2channel amps that make a fair amount of power. Look for the AP models, I believe. http://www.caraudiodeals.com/amplifiers-2-channel-amps-c-28_30.html?filter_id=15&sort=3d

Looks good, nice to have a big 'ole trunk Videos in the coming days?
  7. Honestly, I think it's the drivers more then anything. Larger port area is used to avoid port noise, going down shouldn't effect sq until you make the port small enough to where there is audible port noise. Guessing you listen to rap and what not, so 32hz works fine for you. Larger box yield increased efficiency, flatter response. What part of sq are you missing, or after?
  8. Its not retarded, just makes sense. Two box specs, two places to put it, under each coil config. Makes for a clean chart lol.
  9. Coil config doesn't effect enclosure volume. Or sealed / ported in your case It's just the table confusing you.
  10. Thanks. Yeah I think he's just overwhelmed with work. Now that he's in the new shop hopefully he can get caught up and back to normal. I certainly wouldn't be waiting if his work wasn't worth it
  11. My situation is a little different. I sent him a deposit and got the ball rolling on Nov 29th of last year. I told him I wasn't in a rush, so figured I'd get it in a month. Then between then and now, I sold my vehicle, so I told Andrew to hold off on the box until I get a new vehicle and make sure the box fits, that took about 10 days then I got a new car and told him to continue the box. Then he started the move into the new building, so I patiently waited for that. He supposedly finished that on the 31st of last month and started building boxes again. Since then I haven't heard back.
  12. Let the jamming begin! Box came out great
  13. Sent him an email, on my last straw...
  14. Looking good, already got a bunch done. me like box builds. May I ask how much the jasper jig was?
  15. Anyone know the weight on the dcons? ~20lbs

It could have been wired differently but been the same impedance that your wiring diagram would do, or completely different. I don't see how it would have affected it now, it honestly sounds like you cooked the coils with too much power.
  17. I'll just add that I have used a ktp in the past, it was an improvement over stock headunit power, but definitely not on par with a standalone amplifier.
  18. Not really. I think there's other factors that come into play, besides owning an ssa product
  19. I love your van. I honestly wish I could hear it
