  1. He's gonna need stiffer springs for his suspension. Yea I have already looked into this But thing is, I have had over 750 pounds in the back with no rub or problems even with my 22s so idk. and hopefully i won't need a DC alt but if I HAVE to than thats what I will do You will need an HO alt if you plan on running 2000-4000- watts for sure. we shall see.... I see a lot of people around here that don't Your idea of "Daily" and my idea of "Daily" could very well be different, and there's even a bigger difference between daily and competing. If I posted a video using a sundown 4500d powering some drivers and had a stock alt and an extra battery and didn't show my voltage, would you see that as a "go ahead" for you?
  2. I'd like to add that my dealings with SSA have all been excellent. Customer service around the clock, Awesome products. Couldn't really ask for more, unless they became a charity and starting handing out drivers for free

Just noticed your license plate, "it bangs" haha
  4. yea i could, id have to have someone else do it because i dont know how to do that stuff, how much is that going to cost me? 10ft of 0 gauge wire, wire terminals, and a fuse holder. Very simple. X2, I could have my 89 year old grandma with Alzheimers do it

Just because he was able to "run a 1500watt amp" with no electrical upgrades doesn't mean you can too... Every car has a different electrical system. And amps range from current draw. Some amps are underrated, other overrated, some people read Max power as rms, etc. I had a saz1500d on my stock alt and my voltage would easily drop to the 11s, so i turned the gain way down until voltage drop was minimal for the time being until I could upgrade my cars electrical.

Motor and basket And yeah I would say so as to finding the noise problem lol
  7. ssh replied to CrazyKenKid's topic in Sundown Audio
That's a bummer, one problem after another. Hope it's a speedy fix either way and your back to bassing

Buy this: Aluminum Chrome FTW How'd you find that? Das my daddys first car! Google! WTF. Probably Google Maps driving by my house and spotted it and thought it'd be funny to post on the internets...

You can try using goop, I've heard a lot of people having good success with it (although they were small rips and tears). Worst case it doesn't work and you have to get a recone.
  10. ssh replied to CrazyKenKid's topic in Sundown Audio
I think you pissed the wifey off? Normally with a small tear it's not a big issue fixing, but with a tear that long between the cone and surround I'd say your gonna wanna order a recone. But wait and see what others say Good luck man
  11. or what about 6 10s? or 4 15s? or 20 8s? 20 8" drivers would be very eye catching What about some xcons? or actually zcons? or the new btls? or a warden? The wardens have neodymium oh boy! OH and so does the new btl! omg omg. big stetsom amp? or SD? or a sundown 4500! pure copper wire or some cca? c'mon man, why even make a thread when your gonna change your mind every thirty seconds. Although if you do start some epic wall build, I will be tuned in

I think you took an exacto knife to the surround, why would you do that? Didn't bump it or rub against anything while installing? Could have been a small tear but after playing it ripped more
  14. Welcome to the forums Be sure to post a build log for that pretty car and woofer
  15. Hey, welcome to the forum I have a jeep wrangler and it's also a tin can. I got a bunch of cld tiles to stop panel resonance and to thicken my doors. Then used mlv on the floor and on doors. Then put ccf on doors in-between mlv and door panels to stop rattle. I got the cld tiles, mlv, and ccf from sound deadener showdown. It's worked wonders, made my jeep fairly quiet from outside road noise and have few rattles. P.s. Before I did all this^ I bedlined the floor, that helped too! -Stefan
  16. I watched that last video cause of that I've listened to a few brokencyde songs in the past, but for the most part I can't stand screaming stuff or people with stupid shit hanging from their necks Guess if I don't watch any music videos I'm sorta golden...
  17. Wait I thought the big 3 solved everything
  18. He's gonna need stiffer springs for his suspension.
  19. i want both.. what do you mean by that?..i listen to music rap techno also want spl..and which one is spl and which one is music?... mayhem music, btl for spl, but I honestly doubt you could tell the difference in terms of sq.
  20. if you have the room to properly use 6 15s then I would def. do that, cone area ftw.
  21. Proof required, on both claims. And I can link you to some reviews of cheap Sony amps showing that even they produce rated power output.....so I'm not so sure your "very few brands put out rated power" is even remotely accurate to start with. x2, I'm pretty sick and tired of people thinking mainstream products are bad and "underground" "competition" brands are the only way to go...
  22. Everything sounds good except for the roofing product for sound deadening, I hope it doesn't smell your car up. But if it works and doesn't smell then *waits for pictures*

Thanx man. I actually ran out of room in the rear storage area, so I had to come up with a new box for the processor, center channel amp and rear passives. The floor A/C vent feeds the back of the box which is open and the fan at the front pulls air. All the pieces stay very cool. I will get pix of the Zeds in the rear storage compartment all wired up. Sounds sweet. I'm thinking of doing something similar, def gonna learn from your build log
  24. ssh replied to rugdnit's topic in Build Logs
I really like the enclosure / center console idea for hiding all the amps and such. Build looks good

Nice review, from all the pictures I've seen of his brackets = pure awesomeness in terms of quality
