  1. 149's on music. Funny looking box, but nice numbers
  2. sounds like your using your friends mistake to your advantage, and then some... you only need a recone, not a whole driver cmon man
  3. lols, great plan. You should get some proper education before you try and design your own drivers.
  4. Let's not forget, Nick is on the forum and chat almost everyday answering any questions or problems relating to Fi and car audio in general.
  5. Don't forget about your electrical
  6. -Directly from manual. -http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/cde-102/
  7. Pretty fun day, got to check out Marks rocket ship and Damerico's ( ) smds
  8. My headunit is the alpine cde-102 and I got the alpine kce-433iv (full speed connection cable made specifically for my hu). Hooked the cable up to the rear pigtail connection, flipped through all the sources on HU and it shows nothing. If I set it to Aux, I can play music from the ipod but can't control ipod from headunit. So it's acting as a normal 3.5mm jack aux cable... I tried switching settings from Aux input ON to OFF and that only enabled/disabled the music from ipod, but still no headunit controls. My ipod is a touch 2g, I've also tried a ipod nano 2g, and no avail. Anyone have a similar problem or solution? Perhaps my cable is crap, but it seems odd for a new cable to go bad
  9. This weekend I competed against a truck with 4 15" drivers in a sealed enclosure. I had a single 18" in ported enclosure and we were doing virtually the same numbers (Within tenths of a db).
  10. As stated above, check your voltage and grounds.
  11. 8am sq judging, 10am spl judging. I'm headed down now... Sounds good, I just stopped by to register so I don't have to do it later, wasn't sure how busy it would get. Got there too early Looks like there's no sql cars so far. just a bunch of spl
  12. 8am sq judging, 10am spl judging.
  13. ssh replied to CrazyKenKid's topic in General Audio
Therefore it's better? Bad assumption. From what I've seen and read, only a handful of people have the VVXs. Your best bet is to pm some of those people and ask them their opinion. Check out the Skar area for build logs and such. Couldn't hurt.
  14. I vote for getting a ssa dcon out of the listed.
  15. Hope ya get everything figured out and can still list them. Kinda hard to sell a product when no one knows you have it. =/
  16. This is gonna be sweet When those fcons come out, I may snag a couple and join the ssa team what are you running now anyways? like an 18 bl.... yeah. I then thought about doing a couple sa12s since there considerably cheaper then icons, but I like the fact that ssa and fi drivers are built here in the states. And awesome products So hopefully in 6 months ill have some fcons or ssds
  17. not me But I'm waiting for pics and video tonight
  18. This is gonna be sweet When those fcons come out, I may snag a couple and join the ssa team
  19. I'll be there, competing in spl.
  20. Sounds like were gonna have a good turn out
  21. I see your in Tucson If your looking for something to do on Saturday, check out the comp at hooters off tanque verde, sq judging at 8 and spl judging at 10 I'll be attending. /End of thread jack.
  22. So any idea why you posted 2v before and now your posting everything above 14v with car at idle. Sounds like your electrical is good if it's never dropping below 14 Also, If your play the 30hz test tone at volume10 and there's not output difference vs volume20 then you may have your gain set too high. Did you set the gain by ear?
