Fake video, conspiracy Get a better camera
  3. You just said it plays fine on your wifes car and your HT, so there's no reason for anyone else to try it. And even so, whether I try it or not, it'll play, may have clipped signals... So does your amp shut off? Go into protect mode? Please be more specific besides "bass cutting out". If your voltage really is 2v at your amp, then you have a much bigger problem then not being able to play a single song. I'll check back tomorrow when you post your battery voltage. Oh and when you said the battery is in the trunk, your referring to it being a second battery right? So whats your starting battery and your secondary battery model #'s?
  4. I had to do a lot of reading to know what you guys were talking about...anyway...voltage to the terminals on the amp drops "BIGTIME"!!! It drops to like 2 volts. I checked the fuse (80amp) and it was broken/loose. So bought a new one, replaced it and still dropping to 2 volts! So now I'm completely lost! Car is a V8 Genesis Battery is in the trunk and is big! Ground cable from battery to frame is 1/0 size Positive is 1/0 size also Cables (positive and negative) from battery to amp is 1AWG I played a 30hz test tone and it always plays and it lasts 1 minute. The song above won't play... WHAT'S WRONG with my system? Man all day on this thing...I just don't get it! Thanks for helping me. 2volts at the amp? That's fucked up. What's the voltage on the battery in the rear with the car off, at idle, with amp at full tilt?
  5. Check out Audiopipe amps, there cheap and people seem to like them.
  6. Whatcha tuning down to? 35?
  7. Just adding wire from positive post on battery to output stud on alt, negative stud on battery to chassis ground, chassis ground to engine block. Hopefully adding a path of less resistance for the alt, battery, and any electronic device with a current draw. Big 3 can help with voltage drop and dimming lights, but don't expect it to suddenly make more power If your that leery about doing this, post a couple pictures from under your hood and we can point out "what to what"
  8. If you buy recones in bulk you might get a discount
  9. Wtf? Why Duran? Congratz Duran Always saw you a mod / very respectable person, and obviously still do
  10. Sure, use a really small box. Don't get mad if it's peaky as hell. I bet you could run more in a burp scenario. Is this a burp scenario? I'm assuming not. Perhaps you should do what the manufacturer suggests... Sure running an extra couple hundred watts is fine, even a bit more depending on if you know your shit, but then you wouldn't be asking... But trying to run double the rated rms and not knowing what your doing, just plain dumb.
  11. No one here is being an audiophile, it's just you being content with zero imaging and a jury rigged setup. Either buy a ysplitter for signal and get a plate amp, or put an inline lpf for the left channel (cheapest, and worst way to go).
  12. He may even be able to use a y-splitter and send a signal from either channels to the plate amp (assuming the signal doesn't have any bass filtered). Parts Express has some cheap plate amps
  13. Apparently! FML I might, are you going to the show? yes but I don't have too much to "show" lol
  14. That's really f***** up lol. Get an amp with atleast 2 channels and a subwoofer channel. You have your mids and highs playing on the right channel (not sure how you have them positioned in room? center? left and right? right?) Zero imaging. And then on the left channel your subwoofer is playing everything... I could be wrong but the amp may have a filter to get rid of the lower frequencies for the main channels (meaning your left channel may only play 100hz and up) And to top everything off, the sub is playing midrange and vocals? Your not powering all this off a car battery and some lamp cord too... by any chance?
  15. The show has been moved to Hooters of Tucson, 6335 E. Tanque Verde, Tucson AZ 85015. We're expecting a godd turn out. Please see my latest post. Thanks. Since when does Tucson have a fucking Hooters????? I have lived in Sierra Vista on and off since 2006!!!!! J There's a couple actually
  16. Yeah mines louder with driver door open, I have to test both doors open and see if I can tell any difference. Kinda hard without a tl
  17. Most vehicles are generally louder with a door open, window down vs the vehicle being sealed right? Depending on the db level is there an inverse effect and a sealed vehicle is louder? Or does it just depend on the frequency as an open door would make the cabin part of the enclosure (4th order?) I know there's different sanctions and different rules among classes, so certain cases I'm assuming the vehicle has to be sealed and can't have any windows/door open. So if my first theory is true, then why do people seal every air leak in their vehicle to gain dbs? Wouldn't they want places for the air to escape (like an open door, just not opened quite as much). OR would this^ be like a leaky sealed enclosure compared to a ported enclosure? Some things just seem contradictory and never asked

your car is just full of surprises

Lol don't worry I'm fully aware of prntscrn, but I'm sitting in my car with my laptop on the inverter in my center console and my 3G hotspot isn't working so I have to upload the pics off my phone. I made my fiance go grocery shopping while I sit here and CAD a sub box she's the best in that regard Both of you sound like quite the best Maybe I could pick your brain with an enclosure design sometime
  20. ssh replied to MikeMartel's topic in General Fi
Are you taking a picture of your screen? You can always press "PrtScn" on keyboard and paste image into mspaint, adobe ps, etc.
  21. If you can't run an extra battery or upgrade alternator, I wouldn't run a 1500watt amplifier (unless you gained down for the time being and upgraded electrical down the road). Running both drivers on the 750 should get louder then a single driver due to twice the cone area.
  22. 130-140db is easy. Now which setup will be louder out of those options? whose to say...

  24. Why is he better off with a smaller driver? More room for the enclosure and driver to breathe? Tiiiiiiny trunk opening very difficult to fit large boxes through it and if he can't get it through the rear folding seats then he's fucked Point taken
  25. Why is he better off with a smaller driver? More room for the enclosure and driver to breathe?
