facing box up in the trunk
I'll let you do it son It may make your trunk rattle like crazy, maybe not. As far as any difference, it may be louder, it may not. Test it out and report back

Trunk Setup Positioning
I could be wrong so don't shoot me if M5, Impious, or anyone else intelligent states otherwise, BUT unless your doing a wall then I believe subs back works best. Leave one of the rear seats down so the trunk isn't sealed from the rest of the car. Or are you planning on having the rear seats down and have the subs fire directly into the cabin (like ultrisa's or onebadmontes setup? (and yes I know onebadmontes is IB but you get the visual))? reread and see you stated about doing this ^ As far as that vs subs back, I have no input. as far as regular tuning 33hz is a nice choice for output and sq.

turn the volume knob down to zero then slowly turn it up until the driver is moving to a full stroke.

fitting 40" in 34" =)
It looks like sketchup, but not sure if you can import models like the driver in sketchup. doesn't fit with 32.5degree angle but something more drastic say 45 and it should, but i'll try a single driver for now have you gotten metered since switching to the sealed box?

hard to believe it's bottoming out. Can you get a better video. Is this in a house or vehicle?

Is something wrong with 15 ssd?
Your comparing a sealed enclosure to a ported enclosure, theres a pretty big difference between output. I suggest porting it If you have the room to do it

fitting 40" in 34" =)
yeah, and I may just swap drivers out for a btl and upgrade electrical down the road... just depends on how loud this gets

@shizz, for a the single driver I was planning on doing: It's going in a 2door 1997 jeep wrangler

fitting 40" in 34" =)
Yeah I think I figured a triangle with sides: 20" 20" and base being 34", then split triangle into two (making right triangles), then used pythagorean theorem to find height (distance from edge to center) and got 45 degrees for angles. thanks for the help

fitting 40" in 34" =)
Thanks jbl for the offer, may take you up on that later on. and thanks for the advice shizz, always all ears when you have something to say I'm going to try a single driver and decide if I want more output, if so then ill move up to this design

Car amplifier current draw problem
if you remove the +12v constant wire from the amp, will the amp still continue to draw power?

fitting 40" in 34" =)
Attempting to fit two 18" drivers (fi bl) in 34" width. Each driver would be mounted to an angled piece of double baffle mdf. I made a simple rendering to give a visual: Width is 34", each angled piece would be 20"x20" and angled at 45degree angle. The distance from edge of box to where the angled pieces meet would be approx 10". enclosure will be ported, most likely with aero ports for the sake of being easy. Has anyone had any experience with a enclosure like this? output wise vs conventional ported enclosures? Does the fact of the drivers being angled towards each other cause any problems, cancellation, etc. any other input? thank you
