general fi car audio questions
200watts would be good, but calculating output doesn't work out as you are asking... Ever setup is different, different vehicle, different cabin gain, different power, enclosure volume and tuning, placement of port and direction of driver, etc.

2 ssd 12 vs 1 bl 15
If done correctly, a single 15" bl ported would be louder then two 12" ssds sealed.

2 ssd 12 vs 1 bl 15
you think it would overpower the components even when i have the t400-4 on them? the components are Rockford Fosgate Punch P1653 6-1/2" 3-way Full Range Speakers 60 rms each. you didn't specify what amp they were on... And to answer your question, I don't know. Put your fi driver(s) in and see what happens. If you can't hear your front then I guess there not loud enough, if you can hear them then I guess their fine huh

Air bag light
Just because you bought your driver from Fi doesn't mean it's related to them in any way that your airbag light is going on and off... If you bought a driver from ssa you'd post this in the ssa section... Perhaps a wire is loose and the more you turn it up the the wiring disconnects and connects... I'm not a mechanic, nor do I work for Cadillac either... lol I googled for 5 minutes and found that if the climate control module is getting low voltages on some Cadillacs then it throws a service air bag light... I'm not saying this is your problem, but perhaps your electrical sucks and as your amp draws more current then your vehicle can provide, your voltage drops and the light goes on...

the bass will overpower your fronts/mids, so you'll likely want to upgrade your frontstage as well... but you can always add some bass and then decide if your front stage needs upgrading.

Z12's box help
Why do you want a new enclosure just for the sake of using aero ports? I understand you want to keep the same dimensions which would mean your enclosure volume wouldn't change enough to make it better/worse. Do you want aero ports for the sake of easy port tuning for competing?

Speaker wire, best for long runs
the thing is im not worried about what i need, im worried about how to effectivly transfer ALL the power from the amp, like i said where peaking our score at 1800 watts clamped, we have 2000 watts clamped that we can have for our class, 200 watts might be worth a few tenths lol, but i want to be able to transfer all that power thats coming outta the amp. i would go ahead and assume im losing atleast 200 watts using the 14 gauge wire for 6 ft Once you change your wire out, do your "Test" again and see if you actually pickup 200watts... and post back results

Create more AC AMPS?
Add batteries, get a bigger amp. Going from 2861watts to 3000watts won't be noticeable unless your on a tl. And the fuses are there for a reason...

Wow, thanks for responding...I was giving up on these. I have no idea what the tuning frequency is...sorry. The ports are 4"D x 14"L Of course there are 2 of them. Thanks again... do you know what the enclosure volume is? EDIT: nevermind I see you posted external dimensions

btl 18 cuts out at high volume HELP!!!!!!
that's good, but not quite good enough, if your amp has no ssf then that's a big problem I suggest getting an inline ssf (I think theres one called fmod, may have to google for it), but if it was me I'd sell the amp and get something better.

btl 18 cuts out at high volume HELP!!!!!!
No amp is fine however when i first installed it and was playing loud the amp got warm there was a funny smell. Thats unusual for a mmats amp. The sub clips out like it skipping a beat. It comes back on its like the bass note isnt catching at times. Its not extremely loud when it does this. I cannot get to that point. It always cuts out on low notes your driver isn't going to just randomly decide not to output any sound unless it's not getting power from your amp, or tinsels are loose (which I doubt). how'd you set your gain? whats your enclosure tuned to? and how did you set your ssf? Perhaps you clipped it and allowed it to bottom out and overexcursion and tinsels need to be re soldered? BUT I think it's more likely that your amp is clipping, wired to impedence too low, either way and shutting off, perhaps the light stays on and you think it's fine but it is in fact not outputting for a second and thus gives you the impression that your driver is "skipping a beat"

very good point, the enclosure makes a worlds difference

More Enclosure stuff for sa 10s
are your wiring the drivers to a final load of 1ohm? If so then your giving the drivers their rated rms so you shouldn't have any issues with power handling, and good idea with the eq for the ssf. I've read a couple posts about the ssf on some rf amps being a little iffy, but I don't remember if this amp was one of them...

each driver will have around ~1.3cubes of volume which fits sundown specs. 35hz is a good choice for a little more output but still maintaining sq. What amp(s) will you be using?

How loud can I go?
YOU ARE A DOUCHE!! You never cease to make unintelligent posts. To the OP, I understand the feeling of wanting to build a system up as quick and as soon as possible, I've done it When you get your vehicle (evo?) get some measurements and decide how much room your willing to sacrifice for an enclosure. Then we can start doing some number crunching and figure out what will best fit your goals.

confused about enclosure
I would apply glue to both sides of wood, attach together using clamps then predrill and screw. I wouldn't wait for the glue to dry then screw... just my two cents.

How loud can I go?
it's my way of being semi helpful, once the op has real legitimate questions then I'll provide to the best of my knowledge real legitimate answers
