Well I can honestly say I dont think most people on here are against sealed boxes. Most people prefer ported but I believe quite a few people on here have sealed. Also I can almost bet that everyone on here will say that this is based on installation. There is no real way to tell which will seem "louder" without hearing each of those in the car you will have and how you are going to have it set up. My one Lethal Injection could sound "louder" than a death row in certain circumstances. And not to be an ass but I think someone ask this question AT LEAST once a day. If you had read the forum rules and guidelines it says that questions about such and such vs another is usually a worthless topic. Now that I have stated that. I hope you get the answer you are looking for but I am just giving you some friendly advice and what to expect from other forum members. They will probably also ask you questions like electrical upgrades etc. Anyway on that note. Jeremy

You can mix as much series and parallel as you have coils to do it with. Not confusing, just basic algebra. Why not? If they are all in one car there can be a large benefit to running them all off of one amp and a lot of potential pitfalls for running them independently. I'd also put them all in the same box. What amp could run 8 subs? Unless they are a very low wattage sub. Well now that I think about it I guess it could happen. Just really confused by wanting to wire 8 subs together. Like I said I would love to see what equipment he is using. Disregaurd my previous post.

I wouldnt imagine you are running all 8 subs off of one amp. (If you are by all means enlighten me on what equipment you are using.) Anyway why not wire 4 to one amp and 4 to another. Just an idea. Might save you some headache in the wiring department. Just my .02.

No - the next run won't make it in time. About 90% is sold already. I might have two sold to one of my friends. I will talk to him again tonight and if so I will get this done so he can experience the awesomeness that is Sundown.

I have DVC 4 ohm. Checking the wires I get as stated above. Checking just the terminals I get 3.4-3.6. So I decided that I'm going to double check the wire from amp to sub tonight and I checked over the wire on the sub last night. If it doesnt work tonight I will wait until this weekend and try to start over. And again thanks for the support. Good to have people on here that know what I'm going through. No one around me is into car audio and the people I do know that are all have mainstream garbage that a dealer or audio shop has hooked up. If this tells you anything the best equipment my friends own is Diamond. No one around here even has any JL stuff. EDIT: I think I will change my amp ground tonight too just to check but last night when I checked the power wire I got 14.4 back at the amp. So would that mean my ground is ok? Or would I have to check the resistance? As much as I thought I knew is how much stuff I actually dont. Hahaha. Thanks again guys.

Well the wire is the Karma wire from Knukonceptz. Thought it was a good idea because it is in a second outter coating but I guess not. If I were to check the whole wire I would have to cut the entire outter jacket off. It must be the wire from the sub to the amp though because now that I think about it I checked the ohm load on the terminals and got 1.6 of 1.7 I dont remember which but that is a 2 ohm load correct? So It must be the connection from the sub to the amp. God I hope I get this fixed soon. Lol. Thanks for the support guys. I really appreciate it.

Well I just rewired it but it seems that the jacket on the wire has a slight cut. I'm going to electrical tape around the spots and see if that makes a difference. I am going to have to pick up more fuses tomorrow and try this all over again.

Well as of right now I have the subwoofer out of the enclosure and I have all the wire out of it. I'm going to try and rewire it. I am going to take the old wire and double check it all over to make sure that no stray strands or anything are touching anything else. I am really puzzled by the fact that it work for almost 3 weeks and then it started doing all this. It's hard paying 10 dollars for 5 fuses just to keep testing stuff for them to blow.

Ok so I am to the point that i want to sell all of my shit. I'm that pissed off right now. I check all my grounds and check my power. I get 14.4 volts back to the amp. The amp is putting out volts. Everything is fine until I hook up the subwoofer. As soon as I do the sub like does a short little hit. Makes a low boom noise and then it blows the fuse up front. I tried rewiring the sub to make sure there was nothing wrong and it still isnt working. I checked the posts on each side of the sub and get a reading that bounces from 2.9 to 3.4 on each. I dont know what the hell to do. I'm so frustrated. Can someone please help me?

Last time I lifted my bench was 350 squat was almost 500. More of the 480ish range and my dead lift was around 570. Havent lifted since highschool but I work in a warehouse where I am lifting heavy shit all day. Mind you I am a lot bigger than you are. I'm 6'6'' and weigh 300 pounds. Good to see some people lifting weights. Measure your arms or anything for reference? Last time I did measurements which was last year my arms are 20 inches around chest is 50 inches and my thigh was 30 and calf was 19. I have been lifting still just not keeping up with it like I was. Keep it up man!

Ok so I am going to get the fuses after work. I have a DMM but dont know how to go about checking the wire. Would I check after the fuse location? Thanks again for the help. Oh and the ground wire that came out was on the amp to the speaker. I hope nothing got messed up on the amp or sub. Thanks again. Another reason I love this forum. Quick answers.

Any insight guys? I havent gotten the fuses yet to check it but does anyone think that could have been the problem? Someone has to know. I am stressed and bummed beyond belief. So I checked the entire power wire to make sure there was no kinks or spots it could be grounding and I didnt find any. I didnt check it with dmm yet but I did see that the ground wire from the sub had wiggled out and was no longer screwed in. Could this have been a problem with the power light not comming on and blowing the anl fuses. I am going to pick up some anl fuses tomorrow and see how that goes. I still dont understand why he bought a subwoofer without having a car. Kind of seems like he put the cart before the horse but to each his own. So have fun audiophile just try not to keep pissing people off.

Ok so I was on my way home from work and my sub stopped hitting so I pulled over immediately got out and looked to see what was wrong. My amp was in protection so I made sure my headunit was completely off and turn my car off and back on again. I went back and checked and the amp wasnt it protection but there was no power light either. I popped the hood and looked at the fuse for my power wire and it was blown. So I changed out that one with a spare one i had. As soon as I turned the car again the inline fuse blew again. Can someone help me? What is making it do this? My gain was set with DMM and I have been driving it for two weeks with no issues. Any help would be awesome. Thanks, Jeremy

Did you ever check to see if maybe you blew a fuse when putting the new head unit in? And dont just check the one that says stereo. I made that mistake once and it was some other fuse. Didnt know if you had checked that yet or not.

Well right now I have an Alpine CDA-9883, Kicker 6.5 is rear and Kenwood 6.5 in the front. Sub is a Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12. Amp is SAE-1200D. Wire by KnuKonceptz. And a dynamat license plate kit. I am going to get a nice component set here in the near future and get rid of those Kenwood and Kicker speakers. That was from my old set up. So far I am loving this Lethal Injection. Hits hard with authority. I dont have big 3 done yet am going to crimp wire and solder tomorrow. I work at a concert stage lighting company so I can use all the equipment there I need to get it done. We have hydraulic crimpers and everything.

So I don't have a ton of pictures I was putting everything together and was on a roll so I didn't stop to take a lot. I have a couple videos I will post too. You are really giving it that much? I have my amp set to 600rms and it is beating the hell out of me and my car. Hard to believe you are giving it that much power.

So I dont necessarily get the haunting kind of stuff but I get the de ja vu/ weird coincidences. My fiance and I have been together for 5 years now. Been dating since I was 16 and she was 14. Anyway every year we go apple picking at this local orchard and we have come to find that we can play this fun game while we are there. I turn around and she looks at the tree and picks an apple. She says ok and I turn around and look at the tree. She looks away and I search for a minute and pick an apple. She turns around and I point to the one that I think she picked. I get it right everytime. I dont know if it's just a weird coincidence but I think there is something there. Also I will go to start texting her something and she sends me what I wanted to know before I ask her. There was one time I asked her earlier that day what time a certain movie was playing. Halfway through the day I went to message her to see if she look. I got half way through the text and she sent the movie times. Or another time I have had a song stuck in my head all day I get home and she is singing it. I asked her why she was humming it or singing it and she said she didnt know it just popped in her head. The weirdest on to date though is when we were laying in bed one Saturday morning and just watching tv relaxing, all of a sudden I go here take them. She said oh thanks....then goes wait.....why did you just say that. I told her its because she said she didnt have any blankets. She then told me that she didnt say it out loud she was thinking it. I dont know what you guys think of these but there is definately something going on with it.
