To stay with the idea of being able to use the rear area I had to come up with a way to incorporate a sub into this area. Started with the idea of facing the sub up firing to the windsheild, but then started to think I could keep the initial appearence of the rear hatch area by firing the sub toward the passenger seat. I think for this vehicle and the thoughts of the owner(not really being a heavy bass person) this would be a great way to go. My area to work with was not at all a perfect place to get exact measurements but the area came up to about .75'. The recomended space for this sub Kicker 10C84 is between .5 and 1.2 sealed. So this should be good. Started with a baffle mounted to the metal structure completely sealed. Very close to the bottom structure of the storage-well when sub is in. Test pic to let me know the overall look. More to come...
