No they played fine before and kind of still do just when the lower note frequency hits like on songs "How low" "My chick bad" "Juice box" etc dont really have alot of output like they did before. Had the subs for about 5-6months now Never had subs warm before!!! Cone doesnt scratch or anything when i push on it!

Hey as you can see below bottom of my post all my equipment listed! Problem is last week my subs where slapping this week they still are slapping just not on the really low low notes the output is not as powerful neither is the air it moves. Everything else hits and plays fine. Box tuned at about 32half hz had subsonic on about 24-23hz , NO bass boost gain 3quarters on amp and i use the gain knob in the cabin for the clipping meter max i go on the knob in the cab is one quarter. I have no clue whats wrong is it the subs, amp etc. One thing i have tried doing so far was turning the subsonic up to 34hz to see if i was playing out of the box's tuning frequency and that did nothing sounded the same and everything! Please give me some input on this problem.

....I went with the aq 2200 all you need is a couple batteries to back up the power on it if your alt is half way decent!

Don't listen to this guy. The hifonics puts out that 2kw at 1 ohm,same as the audioque. You need a amp that delivers 1500w at 2 ohms. The kicker is a great amp except for the subsonic. The audiopipe 3000 is too much you'll smoke the subs. Hmm...ok was just some suggestions doesnt seem you have anything better since you just like stating the obvious. Stinger is some high quality wire good buy for the price if you plan on purchasing some.

..I just think kicker amps are good but you can buy other amps for a way cheaper price for about 400 and put out a solid 2krms!!! JUST remeber L7's LIKE BIG BOX's!!!!!!! shouldnt be a problem for space in your whip. Hifonics HFi2500D(put out a solid 2krms only for 320$ on sonic) Or a Audioque 2200 for 389$ or the most common cheap amp audiopipe 3000d!!! all perfect amps for your setup just enough power and price range

All you need now is some 5% tint on that bad boy some crazy color hid lights bumble exhaust and then you sir have a nice little tdi Very clean on the inside i dig that.

Bass has to get into the cab somehow cant fill your whole trunk full of equipment and a box and exspect it to be loud if the sound waves only have a couple of inches to get around the box to get into the cab. Hope your back seat goes down.

I tune my amps by ear a prob with that, I think as long as you dont hear distortion at full volume and your not clipping your amp with to much gain your good

Build a box and save up least 40 more $ for a half way decent amp not no china chink slap a*s special! Your most important part is your box since thats going to give you the efficiencys for your sub's.

Hows adding wood on the outside going to change the inside making the box biger without increasing the space inside. All adding wood will do is stop the box from flexing if it is flexing at all. I would just remake a box if your not happy with the one you got one take that long for a single 12.

Either one will be fine the 2000d might be pushing the subs to the limit if you wired it to 1ohm. What's the ohm load on the sub dual 2 or 1 that helps alot on what ohms you can wire it in??

If you would put it in a 2.5cube feet box for the 15 would that make it more peaky and produce more spl if you threw more power at it?
