  1. rape whistle FTW
  2. HA! I saw those in the supermarket like 6 years ago
  3. I'll be using a single 1/0in dual 4out fused distro block to get down from 1/0 to 4 off the back battery to my amps.
  4. Apples to Grapes here? Obviously easier to get loud in the Blazer I would think since you have plenty of room for bigger/more subs, batteries. Not to mention it's MUCH easier/cheaper to find parts and work on. I'm pretty sure you're going to have to build a wall in a 3000gt in order to build a proper enclosure for a 18" BTL. I'd be willing to bet that the 3000GT will not be nearly as much fun once walled off and adding a few hundred pounds unless you're gonna spend a bunch of money on it.
  5. I have some 1/0 and #4 from Weldingsupply for ya

SAZ 4500D should do about 1000@4, lotta cash for 1k though, why do you need 1k@4ohms?
  7. Do you have a rubber gasket on your sub?
  8. Nope, just regular 1/0 welding cable, paid $2.42/ft. from Weldingsupply. I also bought a bunch of the big ass copper ring terminals from them, they work great too, but they are a little thick at the bolt hole. The Lenco Swedge-on tool and Barracutter wire cutter also work great. So far I am very pleased with everything I've bought from them.
  9. How cheap did you think it was? Less than $2.50/ft. for 100% copper is pretty cheap imo.

I think lead time is 2 weeks+ on these right now, before shipping
  11. just a quick knot, I could have made it a little tighter with a bit of effort
  12. Ohjay replied to BTL15's topic in Fi Technical
2 BTL 15s but this is gonna get pretty pricey to find an amp/amps to run 2 BTLs at rms, and that single battery is most likely not going to cut it. I'm also guessing you're wanting to build a wall since it will be tough to fit in the trunk. We're still really lacking alot of information here.
  13. A pair of 18" BLs with 4" coils should do the trick and save you some cash. Or a pair of 18" BTLs
  14. Ohjay replied to BTL15's topic in Fi Technical
I would do BTLs personally. If you have room for 4 15" subs why not 2 18" BTLs? Or were you going to seal the 4 15s? It would help if you provided more info such as goals, budget, electrical, vehicle, etc.

  16. Just snapped a couple pics to show the flexibility of 1/0 welding cable
  17. I need some help here, I picked up a DC Power 250 (I'm guessing a sp model). I was told it was for a 2005 Ford Explorer V6. I want to install it on my 1996 Ford Bronco. My problem is that my factory alternator (95 amp 3G) has a 3 prongs on the regulator with another single prong plug right next to it. This new alternator has 4 prongs on the regulator and the pigtail I have with it goes from 4 into 2 prongs. Sorry if that's hard to understand, here are some pics of what I'm talking about: the 2 prong plug coming off the DC alt this end plugs into the DC alt DC alt in factory alt in factory plugs What do I need to get this thing to work?
  18. looks good, this should be sweet when it's finished
  19. Ohjay replied to ford302redneck's topic in Off Topic
  20. That battery and alternator should be easy to change with a couple hand tools and a sixer. iirc the alt on those pickups is right on top in front like domestic trucks and should be a piece of cake to replace.
  21. What sort of enclosure do you have those L7s in?
