  1. Yeah sorry about that, I wasn't thinking. I have no need for an ipod, navigation or bluetooth. I only listen to the radio and play cds. Like I said, this is my first time and I don't know a whole lot about this stuff, I'm used to easy, passive setups with all the guesswork taken out.
  2. Well, the time has finally come for me to try out an active front stage. This will be my first attempt at this and I don't know much about it. I think what I want to do is run an active capable head unit and a nice 4 channel like the IA 6.4 going to some 8" pa mids and super tweeters. I only plan to run 2 mids and 2 tweets for the front stage. I'm looking for something to keep up with at least two 18s, maybe four 18s by next year. Any suggestions on head units, mids and tweeters are welcome and appreciated. So far, I've been thinking about Ciare PT 382 super tweeters and either the Ciare 8.50NdW 8" mids or the B&C 8 NDL51 8" mids. Please, let me know what you think of this and if it sounds like a pretty good idea, maybe give me some ideas for head units. I am trying to find something nice for under $500 new, cheaper is better of course as long as it will do everything I need, I'm not opposed to used at all either so if anyone has any info on some used ones, please let me know.
  3. kool but there are subs out there that would get louder right? Oh yeah, that's not too hard to do.
  4. Nice! I can't wait for these to become available.
  5. You could wire that SAZ amp to 4ohms on the Dcon and it would sound spectacular and be plenty or power if you ever decide to add another Dcon or 3.
  6. Bull Terrier and someone is crying their eyes out I'm sure, these are fantastic pets and very expensive.

Is this a new enclosure? I have an enclosure that makes a nasty ass mechanical sound when then volume gets about halfway up. It has the shittiest port I've seen since the 1990's. Thanks Kev!

  22. Nice, thanks for sharing.
  23. For some reason, only certain subs can be sent to my area. I get this when trying to calculate shipping costs - (Unfortunately we can't ship to your location. Please select another location and try again.) I tried to use the zip code for the largest town in the next county and got it again. I can get some subs in one size shipped here but same line of subs in a different size I get the message again.
  24. Cone area is similar, there probably won't be much difference in output either way. What are your goals for this system?
