ticks and tips to dain dbs???
I will be running a pair of SA15s for the shows on the 11th and 25th.
-
which subs?
If space is an issue, Sundown is probably the way to go as their subs are optimized for smaller enclosures than almost any other manufacturer.

cone area vs power
This is true of course, all speculation until we get some proper dimensions to work with.

You will have to be in AS3, S3, or DB3 with that amount of cone area and fusing. You will also be in my class most likely, unless I decide to drop down to 2.

cone area vs power
Nice, I'm hoping to be able to break 150 for next season with a pair of Zcon 15s, it would be swell if I could get close to that this next month when I try out these SA15s I've had for almost year bnib.

which subs?
Budget? A single Xcon 15 ported would be nice.

amp recommendation
.5 on a SAZ2500 would do great for burps and you could wire to 2 ohm for daily. I think that would be a sweet setup and have been thinking about doing something similar.

cone area vs power
So there was a hidden goal I think it's quite possible and would be easier/cheaper to achieve with several Dcons over the Zcons.

4 15 wardens
Haha, no doubt, that's alot of juice.

That should be a great setup in AS3 for a first timer. I believe that amp has a pair of 70 fuses on board right? So 140 total amps of fusing with four 12s puts you in AS3, S3, DB3 classes, if you want to run a smaller fuse inline before the amp, you can drop down to a 50 amp fuse and run in AS2, S2, and DB2 class.

cone area vs power
Twelve 15s will give you more cone area than sixteen 12s and use less power to get you there. Also will cost less than sixteen 12s. Eight 15s would probably be plenty though and one 3500 would be enough to get them slammin'. Hell, I got to thoroughly enjoy a sealed wall last weekend with eight JBL base model 12s on a single SAZ3500 and it was very nice, pretty damn loud and sounded pretty good too. Low-mid 150s for very extended periods. I'm sure stepping it up to 15" Dcons ported would net a substantial gain in output and sound even better. I'm pretty sure you could achieve high 150s easily with that much cone area.

Battery Terminal Help
Hit up Audioanonymous or Toolmaker as they are actually the guys who build this kind of stuff and can get you a quote quickly. I just ordered a set of aluminum dual inputs from Toolmaker this morning.

ticks and tips to dain dbs???
The 11th and 25th shows are MECA events. Do you know what class you will be running in? I can give you some tips and pointers for competing in MECA. Since you have never been, you will likely want to be in the Amatuer Street division and in this division, you have to do your run with the car off and music only (remember, no foul language is allowed either) you are not allowed to have the car running and no tones. If you choose to use tones and/or have your vehicle running, you will be placed in the Street class most likely (this depends on your install/vehicle and whether or not any part of your system is above the window/back seat, any other mods) What type of vehicle are you using? What size subs and how many? What amp/s? What do you have for an electrical system? Answer these and we can help put you in the right class and on to the winners circle!

Battery Terminal Help
Most hoods offer plenty of room, my current battery is 2-3 full inches taller than what it calls for an I've stacked up another inch of terminals on top of that, no issues whatsoever. If you're looking for a secure, economical solution, solid copper lugs (ring terminals) will work great, not as pretty as custom machined aluminum but less chance that a wire will come loose and short out.

A turbo 4.3 would be even better imo.

ticks and tips to dain dbs???
Is the show in Tulsa, Bixby or Enid? The next show in Bixby on the 11th is a MECA event, the 25th in Tulsa is MECA state finals, the Enid show I'm not sure about but is probably USACI. I'll help you if I can, pm me if you would like. I'm in Seminole btw and I'll be at the 2 MECA shows in September.
